For all the satanic imagery, hypocrisy and fabrications in his August 30th<\/sup> Soul of the Nation<\/a> speech, \u00a0President Joe Biden wasted no time in attacking former President Donald Trump and his core of MAGA supporters (Make American Great Again) by accusing them of being \u00a0a \u2018clear and present danger to our democracy\u201d <\/i>and that they represent an \u201cextremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic<\/i>“.<\/p>\n Instead of Biden\u2019s obscene menacing sending them back into the shadows, it should come as no surprise that Biden\u2019s unprovoked assault upon millions of Americans fired up the MAGA forces and, if thousands of passionate supporters who attended Trump\u2019s rally<\/a> in Pennsylvania are any indication, they will be voting for America First candidates on November 8th<\/sup> even if it means crawling on their hands and knees through broken glass.<\/p>\n These are the campaign volunteers and voters who have proven the America First concept to be a viable political agenda and have been in the forefront of significant Republican primary victories from Arizona to Washington to Michigan and Ohio. \u00a0They will not be denied.<\/p>\n Almost immediately, Biden attempted to clarify that \u201cNot every Republican, not even the majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans.\u00a0 Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology.<\/i>\u00a0 I know because I\u2019ve been able to work with these \u2018mainstream\u2019 Republicans<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n In other words, Biden was recognizing a faction within the Republican party that he refers to as \u2018mainstream<\/i>\u2019 which is popularly synonymous with the RINO<\/a>s (Republicans in Name Only) who have long held an influential presence within all levels of elected office; especially in the US House, US Senate and State House elections.<\/p>\n While RINO ideology bears little resemblance to today\u2019s MAGA Republicans who are America First to the core, RINOs became a household word during Trump\u2019s Administration. Biden\u2019s hate speech suggested RINOs are more compatible and like-minded than America First supporters. They are, with few exceptions, well known as status quo thinkers with little interest in accountability or transparency and are known to rule with an iron hand.\u00a0 They will rock no boat, accept their place as secondary political participants, are willing to go-along and get-along, and most importantly, are not seen as an electoral or policy threat to the Democrats.<\/p>\n Many RINOs achieve powerful positions by the fluke of seniority as the global roundtable introduces them to the same techno-economic elitists that the Democrats pay homage to; thereby creating a genuine Uniparty.<\/p>\n Currently with the 2022 election on the horizon with numerous popularly-elected Make America Great Again candidates on the November 8th<\/sup> ballot, the RINOs are now in a particularly awkward predicament of revealing where their loyalties lie – with the Uniparty or with the Republicans?<\/p>\n Herein lie some clues:<\/p>\n It is reasonable to expect that after newly elected MAGA Members of Congress who won their primary and November election, despite political and financial sabotage by the national Republican party, will arrive in DC with a score to settle.\u00a0 Many candidates continue to be denied campaign assistance as their opposition is being funded<\/a> by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell or \u00a0House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.\u00a0 Both leaders are known to prefer RINO<\/a>s (or sometimes Democrats) rather than an America First GOP Member.\u00a0 By January, 2023, both McCarthy and McConnell can expect the pay-back of open warfare that will persist into 2024.<\/p>\n For instance, here are links of how a sitting RINO Member of Congress<\/a> or a former senior Trump Administration<\/a> member can subtly (or not) undermine former President Trump on the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago.<\/p>\n The Senate Leadership Fund<\/a> Pac under the guidance of Senator Mitch McConnell has openly denied<\/a> funding or greatly reduced funding<\/a> to Senate America First candidates using the self-serving rational that he only funds \u2018candidates<\/a> of quality<\/a>.\u2019 <\/i>McConnell has also arbitrarily chosen to invest $2.4 M in a Republican primary<\/a> rather than use the funds to beat the Democrat in the general election. \u00a0Uncharacteristically pessimistic<\/a> for a Republican leader of the Senate, McConnell encourages voter suppression<\/a> of his own party as he predicts that the Republicans only have a \u201c50-50 chance<\/a><\/i>\u201d to take back the Senate<\/a>. \u00a0The SLF PAC website contains no list or photos of endorsed candidates, no info as how much the Fund has raised for the 2022 election or which candidates are being supported financially.<\/p>\n On the House side, Minority Leader McCarthy\u2019s Congressional Leadership Fund<\/a> provides no better information than the Senate Fund as McCarthy has played a similar game; denying<\/a> funds to MAGA endorsed candidates while funding their primary<\/a> opposition rather than focus on beating Democrats in the general election.\u00a0\u00a0 Dave Bart, current Dean at Liberty University\u2019s School of Business tells the story that during his one term<\/a> in the House 7th District from Virginia, if he voted against the budget or other money bills, House leadership denied him the funds to run a re-election campaign.<\/p>\n Regarding the Republican Governors Association (RGA<\/a>), it is difficult to tell who they are endorsing since the majority of photos on their website are of Democratic Governors<\/a>, many of whom are strong partisan adversaries<\/a> with no photos of current<\/a> GOP Gubernatorial candidates. \u00a0And again, there is no relevant information about the candidates or how the RGA is assisting<\/a> those candidates.<\/p>\n In addition, the recent Alaska election defeating Sarah Palin is instructive of how easily Republican voters can be snookered<\/a> by a RINO-sponsored rank-choice<\/a> proposal portrayed as election reform that actually favored Democrats in the state.<\/p>\n The bottom line here is whether McConnell, McCarthy and the RGA are more committed to assisting RINO candidates rather than adequately representing<\/a> the best Republican candidate, especially when split loyalties threaten Republican party integrity which begs the question: What is the difference between the RINOs and the Democrats?<\/p>\n Renee Parsons\u00a0served on the ACLU\u2019s Florida State Board of Directors and as president of the ACLU Treasure Coast Chapter.
