“I Got Bad News For You”: Mike Lindell Speaks Out After FBI Seizes Phone<\/strong><\/h1>\n

It was Sept. 13 afternoon in Mankato, Minnesota. Lindell and a friend were halfway back from a duck hunting trip in Iowa.<\/p>\n

As one car pulled up perpendicularly in front of his car, a second pulled up alongside; and a third then appeared from behind, sandwiching Lindell\u2019s car in the middle.<\/p>\n

Lindell stuck his head out of the car window. \u201cWho are you guys?\u201d he asked.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The agents identified themselves as the FBI. \u201cWe just wanted to talk to you,<\/strong>\u201d they said, Lindell recounted in an interview with The Epoch Times.<\/p>\n

The FBI, he said, targeted him over the voter fraud allegations he has voiced, and later seized his cell phone despite his vocal protests.<\/p>\n

In what might have lasted between half an hour and 45 minutes, Lindell\u2019s food ran cold and his ice cream malt melted as the FBI agents questioned his proof to back up the election fraud allegations. Among other lines of questioning were Lindell\u2019s ties to Colorado Mesa County clerk Tina Peters, the local election overseer he met at a cyber symposium he hosted last August. Peters has faced charges related to a breach of security protocols for her county\u2019s voting systems, to which she pleaded not guilty last week.<\/p>\n

They asked him about his meeting with Ohio math teacher Douglas Frank, who also believes the 2020 presidential election results were manipulated, and about Lindell\u2019s frequent air travel.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell,\u00a0I got bad news for you<\/strong>: we are going to take your cell phone,\u201d Lindell remembered the agents saying.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo you are not, I\u2019d rather be arrested, you are not going to get my phone<\/strong>,\u201d he replied. Since he doesn\u2019t have a computer, he said his phone was an essential device that he leans on to run his five businesses.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey want people to be scared to talk to Mike Lindell,<\/strong>\u201d Lindell, who relented and handed over his phone after consulting his lawyer, told The Epoch Times on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou might get your phone taken at a drive-thru restaurant, you might get your door bashed in by the FBI,\u201d he said, noting the string of FBI subpoenas for allies of former President Donald Trump reported in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

While Lindell initially thought the FBI was interested in him as part of the House probe into the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, the agents told him they had two separate cases in which he is named.<\/p>\n

The search warrant the FBI handed him authorized the seizure of an extensive list of information on Lindell\u2019s phone, some of which appeared to be related to the tampering of the Dominion voting machines since Nov. 1, 2020, including information relating to the \u201cdamage to any Dominion computerized voting system\u201d or\u201d attempt to impair the integrity or availability\u201d of the system.<\/p>\n

The warrant described Peters, Lindell, Frank, and several other individuals as \u201cco-conspirators,\u201d citing violations of three federal offenses: 18 U.S.C. \u00a7\u00a7 1028(a)(7), identity theft; 1030(a)(5)(A), intentional damage to a protected computer; and 371, conspiracy to commit identity theft and\/or to cause intentional damage to a protected computer.<\/p>\n

The FBI turned down Lindell\u2019s request to back up his phone.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cThat was something that really upset me,\u201d he said, adding that his last phone backup was from a couple of weeks earlier.<\/p>\n

But the recent FBI actions, he said, won\u2019t dissuade him from his advocacy efforts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe government weaponized the FBI, trying to scare me, trying to scare other people, but it didn\u2019t change a thing<\/strong>,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is Gestapo in Nazi Germany. This is what we\u2019re up against.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt didn\u2019t rattle me,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019m not going to unsee what I\u2019ve seen<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding his phone, Lindell is confident that the FBI will realize \u201cthere\u2019s nothing in here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI do all things by calls, I rarely text, and I never email,\u201d he said. \u201cSo\u00a0whatever they\u2019re looking for, they\u2019re going to be on a wild goose chase<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lindell\u2019s lawyer is working to get his client\u2019s phone back, and meanwhile, Lindell says he has already moved on.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not even thinking about that. I\u2019m thinking of what I have to do tomorrow, the next day, and the next day,\u201d he said. \u201cI have three huge speeches this week: One in Omaha, Nebraska, one in Idaho, and then with the President, our real president, in Ohio,\u201d he said, referring to Trump. The phone confiscation, he said, has given him the opportunity to tell people that without election integrity, \u201cWe lose our country.\u201d<\/p>\n
