{"id":14711,"date":"2020-05-20T11:05:30","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T15:05:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=14711"},"modified":"2020-05-20T11:05:30","modified_gmt":"2020-05-20T15:05:30","slug":"leaked-phone-calls-prove-quid-pro-quo-between-biden-and-ukraine-ex-pm-poroshenko","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=14711","title":{"rendered":"Leaked Phone Calls Prove &#8220;Quid Pro Quo&#8221; Between Biden and Ukraine Ex-PM Poroshenko"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Phone Calls Between Biden And Ukraine&#8217;s Poroshenko Leaked; Details $1 Billion &#8220;Quid Pro Quo&#8221; To Fire Burisma Prosecutor<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->ZeroHedge.com<\/p>\n<p>Leaked phone calls between Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko explicitly detail the quid-pro-quo arrangement to fire former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin &#8211; who Poroshenko admits did nothing wrong &#8211; in exchange for $1 billion in US loan guarantees (which\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2018-01-24\/son-bitch-got-fired-joe-biden-brags-he-forced-ukraine-fire-key-official-exchange\">Biden openly bragged about<\/a>\u00a0in January, 2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2018-01-24\/son-bitch-got-fired-joe-biden-brags-he-forced-ukraine-fire-key-official-exchange\">).<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"max-width-video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe id=\"fitvid511954\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Q0_AqpdwqK4?start=3118\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The calls were leaked by Ukrainian MP\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ukranews.com\/en\/news\/703200-international-corruption-and-treason-derkach-unveiled-conversations-of-voices-similar-to-poroshenko\">Andrii Derkach<\/a>, who says the recordings of &#8220;voices similar to Poroshenko and Biden&#8221; were given to him by investigative journalists who claim Poroshenko made them.<\/p>\n<p>Shokin was notably investigating Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that hired Biden&#8217;s son, Hunter, to sit on its board. Shokin had opened a case against Burisma&#8217;s founder, Mykola Zlochevsky, who\u00a0<strong>granted Burisma permits to drill for oil and gas in Ukraine<\/strong>\u00a0while he was Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. In, uh, as his, uh, position as a state person. And despite of the fact that he has a support in the power. And as a finish of my meeting with him, he promised to give me the statement on resignation.\u00a0<strong>And one hour ago he bring me the written statement of his resignation<\/strong>. And\u00a0<strong>this is my second step for keeping my promises.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To which Biden replied: &#8220;I agree.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"max-width-video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe id=\"fitvid524813\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EbmDLhJ43cU?start=246\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Four weeks later on March 22, 2016, Biden says &#8220;Tell me that there is a new government and a new Prosecutor General.\u00a0<strong>I am prepared to do a public signing of the commitment for the billion dollars.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Poroshenko tells Biden that one of the leading candidates is the man who replaced Shokin, Yuriy Lutsenko who later said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/geopolitical\/state-department-releases-detailed-accounts-biden-ukraine-corruption\">in a deposition<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0<strong>Hunter Biden and his business partners were receiving millions of dollars in compensation from Burisma.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then, on May 13, 2016, Biden congratulates Poroshenko on &#8220;getting the new Prosecutor General,&#8221; saying that it will be &#8220;critical for him to work quickly to repair the damage Shokin did.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>And I&#8217;m a man of my word<\/strong>,&#8221; Biden adds. &#8220;And now that the new Prosecutor General is in place,\u00a0<strong>we&#8217;re ready to move forward to signing that one billion dollar loan guarantee<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Poroshenko thanks Biden for the support, and says that it was a &#8220;very tough challenge and a very difficult job.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Shokin, meanwhile, filed a\u00a0<strong>criminal complaint against Biden<\/strong>\u00a0in Kiev this February, in which he writes:<\/p>\n<p><strong>During the period 2014-2016, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office of Ukraine was conducting a preliminary investigation into a series of serious crimes<\/strong>\u00a0committed by the former Minister of Ecology of Ukraine Mykola Zlotchevsky and by the managers of the company \u201cBurisma Holding Limited \u201c(Cyprus), the board of directors of\u00a0<strong>which included, among others, Hunter Biden, son of Joseph Biden, then vice-president of the United States of America.<\/strong><\/p>\n<aside class=\"newsletter-insert\" data-gtm-vis-recent-on-screen-2077925_80=\"31080\" data-gtm-vis-first-on-screen-2077925_80=\"31080\" data-gtm-vis-total-visible-time-2077925_80=\"100\" data-gtm-vis-has-fired-2077925_80=\"1\">\n<div class=\"newsletter-insert__left-section\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The investigation into the above-mentioned crimes was carried out in strict accordance with Criminal Law and was under my personal control as the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Owing to my firm position on the above-mentioned cases regarding their prompt and objective investigation, which should have resulted in the arrest and the indictment of the guilty parties,\u00a0<strong>Joseph Biden developed a firmly hostile attitude towards me which led him to express in private conversations with senior Ukrainian officials, as well as in his public speeches,\u00a0<u>a categorical request for my immediate dismissal<\/u>\u00a0from the post of Attorney General of Ukraine in exchange for the sum of US $ 1 billion in as a financial guarantee<\/strong>\u00a0from the United States for the benefit of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>And while we cannot verify the authenticity of the recordings with\u00a0<em>absolute<\/em>\u00a0certainty, we now have the audio revealing how the deed was orchestrated.<\/p>\n<p>___<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/geopolitical\/phone-calls-between-quid-pro-joe-biden-and-ukraines-poroshenko-leak-explicitly-details\">https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/geopolitical\/phone-calls-between-quid-pro-joe-biden-and-ukraines-poroshenko-leak-explicitly-details<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Phone Calls Between Biden And Ukraine&#8217;s Poroshenko Leaked;
