Joe Rogan has called drag shows \u201csexualized,\u201d suggesting they are not for children, and compared them to \u201cfamily-friendly strip shows.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comedian and controversial podcast host was speaking to his guest, comedian Bridget Phetasy, about the topic of drag performers and children on The Joe Rogan Experience.<\/p>\n
Rogan and Phetasy were discussing issues relating to trans women being sent to women\u2019s prisons, which led them down the path of discussing other topics relating to the LGBTQ community.
\n\u201cDrag queen shows for kids, like family-friendly drag queen shows, which is a very bizarre thing,\u201d Rogan said on a recent episode of the podcast. \u201cIt\u2019s not a singular event. There\u2019s a lot of that going around.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve seen this argument where people are saying like, \u2018I would want my child to grow up and know that you can express yourself in any way possible.\u2019 Well okay, how would you feel about family-friendly strip shows, right?\u201d Rogan continued, asking, \u201cWhere you have biological women that are sticking their ass out and\u2014\u2019Put a dollar in her G-string, Billy.\u2019 You\u2019d be weirded out right?\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that it\u2019s fine for there to be the shows, acknowledging that people love them, but he draws the line at encouraging children to go, participate and give them money.<\/p>\n
And even the mainstream media pushes for these shows to be \u201cnormalized\u201d for kids the reality is that even drag queens say that their shows are not for children!<\/p>\n

Both \u201cdrag queen story hour\u201d and \u201cfamily-friendly drag shows\u201d are meant to inspire acceptance and diversity. But introducing sexually exaggerated female characters played by men isn\u2019t at all appropriate for children. This position should not be controversial.<\/p>\n
Rejecting drag queen events aimed at children is considered by some to be homophobic. The truth is, there are many events children should never attend and plenty of entertainment they should not consume. Standing between children and mature, violent, and\/or sexually explicit things is what adults should be doing. Instead, the issue has become another culture war topic in which the Left is said to be about diversity and the Right is all about hatred. It\u2019s dishonest, lopsided nonsense.<\/p>\n
