Amajor scientific journal has published research linking COVID\u00a0vaccinations<\/a>\u00a0to retinal vascular occlusion, with vaccinated individuals at \u201csignificantly\u201d greater risk of developing blood clots than unvaccinated individuals.<\/p>\n The\u00a0paper<\/a>\u00a0published in\u00a0Natur<\/em>e harvested data on some 95,156,967 people. Of those, 7.3 million met the criteria for inclusion in the study.<\/p>\n Controlling for confounding variables such as people on anticoagulants, certain contraceptives, and other medications, the researchers were left with 745,041 vaccinated and 3.8 million unvaccinated subjects to compare. They found that \u201ctwo years after vaccination, the chances of all subtypes\u2026 of retinal vascular occlusion increased significantly in the vaccinated cohort.\u201d<\/p>\n Retinal vein occlusion, or RVO, has generally been associated with \u201cpeople with diabetes, and possibly high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, or other health problems that affect blood flow,\u201d\u00a0according<\/a>\u00a0to the Cleveland Clinic.<\/p>\n It can be a very serious condition, sometimes leading to the formation of abnormal new blood vessels that can \u201ccause pain and a dangerous increase in pressure inside the eye\u201d or even blindness.<\/p>\n There is currently no treatment available that can unblock retinal veins, with treatments for the symptoms of RVO including things like injecting anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs and corticosteroids directly into the eyeball.<\/p>\n \u201cThe overall risk of retinal vascular occlusion in the vaccinated cohort was 2.19 times higher than that in the unvaccinated cohort at 2 years,\u201d the\u00a0Nature<\/em>\u00a0paper observed, with \u201cno disparity was detected between brand and dose of vaccines.\u201d<\/p>\n Nevertheless, they insisted that \u201c[a]dditional research is required to draw a solid conclusion regarding the association between retinal vascular occlusion and COVID-19 vaccines.\u201d<\/p>\n Henry Bair of the Byers Eye Institute, Stanford University School of Medicine, authored the study alongside a range of Taiwanese researchers from institutions such as the Chung Shan Medical University Hospital and the Graduate Institute of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Medical Biotechnology, National Taiwan University.<\/p>\n\nMUST READ:<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0Fauci Redefines ‘Lab Leak’ and Compares Anti-Lockdown MAGA Voters to ‘Theatric’ Gays With HIV.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
