By David Boyajian<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n There may be no regime more loathsome and deserving of U.S.\/European condemnation and punitive sanctions than that of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his crew of criminals and monsters.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Corrupt to the Core<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n His family has secretly amassed major \u201cstakes in the country\u2019s \u2026 banks, construction companies, [and] gold mines\u201d and snapped up over $140 million in luxury residences<\/span><\/a><\/span> abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n By 2021, Aliyev\u2019s crime syndicate had covertly accumulated British property worth $700 million.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n State Sponsor of Terrorism<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n The jihadis included one-time ISIS commander\/war criminal Sayf Balud<\/span><\/a> and miscellaneous murderers, rapists, and kidnappers.\u00a0 <\/span>Reportedly, Pakistan<\/span><\/a> also sent terrorists.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n During the war, Azeri zealots chanted, \u201cJihad, jihad, jihad.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>In Baku?\u00a0 <\/span>No, in Washington, DC<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n That\u2019s consistent with America\u2019s scandalous<\/span><\/a> and long-running downplaying<\/span><\/a> of Azerbaijan\u2019s and Turkey\u2019s<\/span><\/a> state sponsorship of terrorism.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Sheer Evil\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Defense Minister Safar Abiyev (RFE\/RL, August 4, 2004): \u201c[In] 25 years there will be no state of Armenia<\/span><\/a> \u2026 [Armenians] have no right to live<\/span><\/a> in this region.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov to a Bavarian delegation (2006): \u2018\u2018Our goal is the complete elimination of Armenians<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span>You, Nazis, already eliminated the Jews in the 1930s and 40s, right?\u2019\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Nurlan Ibrahimov, a Baku soccer team\u2019s public relations director (Facebook, October 2020): We must kill all Armenians<\/span><\/a> \u2014 children, women and the elderly.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Using sledgehammers<\/span><\/a> and dump trucks, Azerbaijani troops destroyed (YouTube: New Tears of Araxes<\/i><\/span><\/a>) a huge ninth century Armenian Christian cemetery in Nakhichevan.\u00a0 <\/span>Stalin had cruelly assigned the latter Armenian territory (and Artsakh\/N-K) to Azerbaijan in the 1920s. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Over time, Azerbaijanis murdered or expelled every<\/i> Armenian in Nakhichevan.\u00a0 <\/span>Baku plans<\/span><\/a> the same<\/span><\/a> for Artsakh\/N-K<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n U.S. lawmakers, the EU Parliament<\/span><\/a>, and others have decried the cemetery\u2019s\u00a0 <\/span>destruction and the ongoing eradication<\/span><\/a> and vandalism<\/span><\/a> of many Armenian churches<\/span><\/a>\/monuments, to no avail.\u00a0 <\/span>The State Department\u2019s reaction has been negligible.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Yet consider the uproar by American officials, media, and conservative Evangelicals whenever Jewish cemeteries or synagogues are vandalized\/attacked\/destroyed.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
