Professional Dominican basketball player \u00d3scar Cabrera Adames died this week after an apparent\u00a0heart attack\u00a0while he was possibly undergoing a stress test.<\/p>\n
According to a social media post from Dominican sports commentator H\u00e9ctor G\u00f3mez, the 28-year-old\u2019s stress test was being performed at a health center in\u00a0Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n
Cabrera Adames is believed to have suffered from\u00a0myocarditis<\/a>.<\/p>\n The disease can weaken the heart and its electrical system, which decreases the heart\u2019s ability to pump blood, according to the\u00a0American Heart Association<\/a>.<\/p>\n Following his death, social media posts surfaced in which Cabrera Adames suggested he developed the rare heart disease after he received two doses of a\u00a0COVID vaccine<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI got a damn Myocarditis from taking a f\u2014ing vaccine. (I got 2 doses of Pfizer) And I knew it!
