As<\/span> the four indictments against former President Donald Trump continue to unfold, the American people have begun to recognize the painful truth that the country\u2019s justice and judicial system, especially the DC District Court in Washington DC,\u00a0 <\/span>reveal itself as a microcosm of evil monsters as Congress refuted its Constitutional responsibility.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In May, 2021, there was momentum to establish an \u2018independent\u2019 Congressional inquiry into the facts surrounding the January 6 event when thousands of Stop the Steal Americans left Trump at the Ellipse to \u201cpeacefully and patriotically\u2019<\/span><\/a> walk to the Capitol. \u00a0 <\/span>At the time, the House was meeting to count Electoral College votes and certify the 2020 election which millions of Americans felt was rampant with voter irregularities and digital manipulation.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n At that point, the Mockingbird Media<\/em> had complete control of the narrative espousing that the outpouring of concerned Americans was causing a \u2019riot,\u2019 even an \u2018insurrection\u2019 to overthrow the government which was, of course, utter nonsense.\u00a0 <\/span>That outpouring of citizenry was concerned that an accurate, bona vide process be conducted that would guarantee that only legitimate votes had been counted and result in the declaration of a fair election. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In early January 2021, Ray Epps flew from Arizona to DC to attend the January 6<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span> rally at the Ellipse.\u00a0 <\/span>He met with his son Jim although neither ever attended the Ellipse rally while the senior Epps actively participated in the Capitol event.\u00a0 <\/span>As the event exploded, Epps stood out as an oddly central figure busily ushering<\/span><\/a> the public through locked gates, encouraging the public to breach the Capitol building during House consideration and repeatedly urging an insurrection with \u201cWe need to Go Inside the Capitol<\/i><\/span><\/a>, Go inside.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n While Defendant Ryan Samsel\u2019s video shows Epps whispering into Samsel\u2019s<\/span><\/a> ear just before the take down of a fence escalated<\/span><\/a> into violence, Samsel with a turbulent history suffered a \u2018viciously and savagely\u2019<\/span><\/a>\u00a0 <\/span>attack by a corrections officer.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Upon Epps return to Arizona on January 8, he was informed that his photo was on the FBI website<\/span><\/a> seeking information about J 6 suspects.\u00a0 <\/span>Epps\u00a0 <\/span>met with the FBI in March which later met with his son Jim.\u00a0 <\/span>Epps hired an attorney and by July, 2021 his photo was removed from the FBI site \u2013 not so lucky for hundreds of other J6 attendees.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In May, 2023, Epps was informed that the FBI would be criminally charging him.\u00a0 <\/span>By July 2023, Epps hired an attorney and filed a defamation suit<\/span><\/a> against Fox News citing Tucker Carlson\u2019s comments identifying Ebbs as an undercover agent. \u00a0 <\/span>To date, Epps has still not been charged or arrested for repeated obstructions.\u00a0 <\/span>He has retained an attorney with HRC and DNC ties for unknown purposes since the DOJ and FBI have shown no interest whatsoever in arresting Epps as a potential defendant. \u00a0 <\/span>Yet if Epps was prosecuted as some of the Proud Boys, Epps might be looking at fifteen to twenty years.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In May, 2021, the House voted 222-190 with thirty five<\/span><\/a> Republicans voting in support of an \u201cindependent\u2019 national commission (HR 3233<\/span><\/a>) to investigate January 6<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span> \u2018attack\u2019\u00a0 <\/span>on the Capitol.\u00a0 <\/span>Republican leadership opposed creation of the Commission presumably because the Democrats controlled Congress which is indicative of the reality that Republicans are not comfortable when they need to assert their legislative prowess and defend the Constitutional Republic.<\/span><\/p>\n Once the \u2018Select\u2019 Committee was established, Pelosi refused to allow<\/span><\/a> Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy two of his five choices to participate as Republican members of the Commission.\u00a0 <\/span>A review of the \u201cComposition of Commission\u201d within the Act does not indicate that Speaker Pelosi had any authority to deny those two Republican members.\u00a0 <\/span>While Pelosi offered to replace Reps. Jordan and Banks with two other appointments, McCarthy refused and said the Republicans would hold their own investigation \u2013 which never happened. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Were Jordan and Banks the only two possible candidates for the Commission with no other House Republicans competent to participate on the Committee?\u00a0 <\/span>Were Rep. Gaetz or Rep. Boebert or two other equally engaged Members not acceptable?\u00a0 <\/span>Did McCarthy not have the inner grit to stand up to Pelosi and push back or was it easier to cave and allow the Commission to go forward with the loathsome Liz Cheney and the odious Adam Kinzinger representing Republicans on the Commission?<\/span><\/p>\n Even with the knowledge that Speaker Nancy Pelosi and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser refused to allow national guard troops to monitor the January 6<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span> gathering, their refusal should have been immediate cause for alarm. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Inexplicably, no one in those early days apparently considered the real probability that the FBI, the CIA, the DHS or Capitol Hill police had infiltrated the crowd of Trump supporters, especially focused on Oath keepers and\u00a0 <\/span>the Proud Boys \u2013 which should have been the first matter of dispute for the Commission to ascertain.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The bottom line is that the Commission \u2018investigation\u2019 was a disaster and allowed the Democrats to dominate the narrative that J 6 was a Republican-inspired Trump \u2018insurrection\u2019 and the mockingbird media complied.<\/span><\/p>\n The end result of the failed commission has been more than a thousand defendants continue to be\u00a0 <\/span>mercilessly prosecuted<\/span><\/a> and persecuted, some resulting in horrendous sentences of 10, 12, 15, 17, 18 and 20 years for misdemeanors or speculative \u2018seditious conspiracy.\u2019 \u00a0 <\/span>It remains unclear why Republicans would oppose creation of an \u2018independent\u2019 investigation other than they just don\u2019t have the inner personal strength to have stood up to Cheney et al or the necessary perseverance to save the Constitutional Republic? \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n On the Senate side, the vote was 54- 35<\/span><\/a> with eleven predominately Republicans Not Voting.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In retrospect, there is no end to the abuse and cruelty as twenty two year Jorde Meacham<\/span><\/a> committed suicide in late August two weeks after being charged with four misdemeanor counts of walking inside the Capitol.\u00a0 <\/span>Meacham\u2019s arrest warrant cited \u2018knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority, disorderly or disruptive conduct within a restricted building,\u00a0 <\/span>disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating or picketing within in the Capitol<\/i>. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n At about the same time, in late August, a seventy five year old veteran<\/span><\/a> was arrested in SW Colorado for the exact same four misdemeanor charges citing his 25 minute visit inside the Capitol.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n It was a busy time for the FBI as they were also arresting Philip Anderson who had a complicated experience<\/span><\/a> on J6.\u00a0 <\/span>Having been unconscious and dragged out by Jake Lang from under a pile of other bodies including Roseann Boylan who was beaten by a police officer, she died with Anderson holding her hand.\u00a0 <\/span>Anderson reports that the DC police continued to shoot noxious gas into the crowd.\u00a0 <\/span>Lang<\/span><\/a> was later arrested and has been imprisoned for 1000 days without a trial.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n While Speaker McCarthy has failed to fulfill an earlier promise that he would release the remaining hours of J6 video, <\/span>the vindictive persecution of J6 defendants has cast several especially malicious judges into the limelight with a steady stream of seditious conspiracy sentences, lacking basic traits of humanity while Congressional<\/span> leadership and its minions reman in absentia, paralyzed by inaction, lacking the necessary qualities to provide leadership and\u00a0 <\/span>guidance to save the country out of this stinkin\u2019 mess.<\/span><\/p>\n As long as Members of Congress continue to collect their pensions and health care, there is no inclination to examine the presence of clandestine participation or their role in fomenting the \u201cinsurrection,\u201d it remains to be seen if red state America First voters who have seen RINO lethargy may show no inclination to reelect those who continue to dismiss J6 as little more than a nuisance.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Question:\u00a0 <\/span>IF, in fact, there had been positive Republican participation within the J6 Committee, IF the narrative of a Republican-led insurrection had been challenged, shifting public awareness into a discussion of truth, exposing law enforcement participation, would President Trump have been indicted by the most gross totalitarian District Court in the country for a fictitious role in creating the J6 insurrection?\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Renee Parsons\u00a0served on the ACLU\u2019s Florida State Board of Directors and as president of the ACLU Treasure Coast Chapter.
