Matt Gaetz (R-FL) criticized him earlier in the week &#8211; giving him a list of demands while threatening to bring a motion to vacate McCarthy&#8217;s chair.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZqYkctHf4mU?si=JcrhFOPIKcIeIgMj\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Gaetz and other Republicans have\u00a0<strong>slammed McCarthy for dragging his feet on a Biden impeachment inquiry<\/strong>, which the Speaker finally announced earlier in the week. Gaetz, however, says this isn&#8217;t enough.<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy also faces\u00a0<strong>another episode of shutdown theater<\/strong>, where Republicans pretend they won&#8217;t budge unless Democrats cut spending, or separate Ukraine funding from the stopgap bill, only to cave at the 11th hour in dramatic fashion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I showed frustration in here because I am frustrated,&#8221; McCarthy told reporters following the GOP meeting. &#8220;Frustrated with some people in the conference.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gaetz fired back after McCarthy&#8217;s outburst<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Instead of emotionally cursing, maybe the Speaker should just keep his word from January on balanced budgets, term limits and single-subject spending bills,&#8221; he told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/4204236-mccarthy-drops-f-bomb-to-gop-members-venting-frustration-about-spending-battle\/?email=c14f3288a64818ecb98f8e0573beceb318faed57&amp;emaila=eb3b115abed24cacb59032280aed3dee&amp;emailb=67a847116066088d41479c6f1dae9ff2f033f69b05a6b0ce26810fdcc2c7acc9&amp;utm_source=Sailthru&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=09.14.23%20KB%20-%20BREAKING%20NEWS%20-%20McC\"><em>The Hill<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That said,\u00a0<strong>other GOP members are getting a little tired of Gaetz&#8217;s threats<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We don\u2019t try to air our laundry but again, you know, to that point, if somebody wants to file a motion to vacate, then file the f\u2014ing motion to vacate, and that\u2019s it,&#8221; said Rep.
