The level of dysfunction is grotesque\u201d &#8212; A Sitting US Senator<\/b><\/h3>"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> Wake Up Call for Red State Voters \u2013 Part I<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><!--more-->by Renee Parsons<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a nutshell, it is a truism that if Democrats win the 2024 Presidential or Congressional election, they will cede US sovereignty to the UN and WHO.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Think about it; there is no time to dally as their plans are in place, awaiting a final launch which may include additional <a href=\"https:\/\/mynorthwest.com\/3920335\/cliff-mass-maui-fires-had-nothing-to-do-with-climate-change-like-zero\/\"><span class=\"s2\">unexpected catastrophes<\/span><\/a>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As one example, the reality is that if it were not for multiple Uniparty votes, the Ukraine war could have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/news\/2022\/05\/06\/boris-johnson-pressured-zelenskyy-ditch-peace-talks-russia-ukrainian-paper\"><span class=\"s2\">negotiated<\/span><\/a> a settlement months ago. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Congressional Republican militarists, aka RINOs, continue to provide the margin for generating war sustenance without which the world might have followed a more peaceful trajectory.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While the current Senate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/198596\/composition-of-the-us-senate-by-political-party-affiliation\/\"><span class=\"s2\">line up<\/span><\/a> at forty nine Dems, forty eight Republicans and three Independents might indicate a close Senate; the reality is that the Indies are not Independent but vote 100% with the Democrats.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In other words, the Republicans are undercut on the Senate floor when RINO votes routinely swing to the Dems. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The once mundane \u2018bi partisan\u2019 faction is now recognized as the unofficial consolidation of power merging the Marxist Democrats with the status quo establishment Republicans as <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrainetoday.org\/2023\/09\/10\/deepening-rift-among-republicans-threatens-future-of-ukraine-aid\/\"><span class=\"s2\">militarists<\/span><\/a> of both parties continue to allocate funds and weaponry while the US foreign policy apparatus urged rejection of negotiations from the beginning \u2013 even as it became patently obvious that a portion of the Ukraine military identified with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/thousands-march-to-honor-nazi-collaborator-in-kiev\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Banderista Nazis<\/span><\/a>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is the Uniparty, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/02\/19\/politics\/mike-turner-mike-mccaul-ukraine-military-cnntv\/index.html\"><span class=\"s2\">Congressional RINOS<\/span><\/a> along with Speaker Kevin McCarthy who promised no \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/russia-ukraine-donald-trump-humanitarian-assistance-congress-c47a255738cd13576aa4d238ec076f4a\"><span class=\"s2\">blank checks\u2019<\/span><\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>can now take credit for the bloody slaughter that has destroyed a generation of young Ukrainians and destroyed what was always a speculative country struggling for survival.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>That is a heavy burden for RINOS who are generally resistant to their share of the blame, to accept responsibility. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As the Ukraine war continues to intensify beyond the mere threat of WW III, the brazen Ukraine President Zelensky continues to meddle in US foreign policy with a visit to our once sacred White House and plans to lobby friendly Congressional RINOs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>At the same time Zelensky pursues <a href=\"https:\/\/news.antiwar.com\/2022\/12\/21\/zelensky-meets-with-biden-and-addresses-congress-in-dc-visit\/\"><span class=\"s2\">another $45 billion<\/span><\/a> bail out (minimum<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>$114 B) to forestall utter collapse, Ukraine\u2019s deranged military spokesman holds nothing back, making <a href=\"https:\/\/humanevents.com\/2023\/09\/15\/watch-trans-ukraine-spokesman-posts-video-threatening-to-hunt-down-critics-of-us-involvement-in-war\"><span class=\"s2\">vile death<\/span><\/a> threats as \u201c<i> Russia will see a favorite propagandist pay for their crimes and this puppet of Putin is only the first\u201d<\/i> as she predicts \u2018<i>all propagandists will be hunted down and justice will be served.<\/i>\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">* * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">On September 16th, Sen. Tom Cotton (Ark.) <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/senate\/4208276-gop-senators-ask-biden-to-provide-ukraine-with-missiles-needed-to-win-war\/\"><span class=\"s2\">authored a letter<\/span><\/a> to pretend President Joe Biden urging that he \u201c<\/span><span class=\"s4\"><i>immediately send MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to Ukraine<\/i>, citing that \u201c<i>additional delay will only further <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><i>undermine U.S. national security interests<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s4\"><i>\u201d <\/i>while, at the same time, suggesting that <i>\u201cThe U.S. is fully capable of providing these weapons <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><i>without any appreciable risk<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s4\"><i> to its own combat capability<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s6\">.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s4\"><i><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s4\">In other words, with no details provided of how the ATACMS would undermine US \u2018national security interests,\u2019 Cotton\u2019s letter goes on to assert there are no \u2018appreciable risks\u2019 to US combat capability by not providing the missile system.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The letter was<\/span><span class=\"s3\"> signed by Sens. Roger Wicker (Miss.), Susan Collins (Me.) and Lindsay Graham (S.C.), all considered RINOs who routinely vote with the Democrats. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Sen. Wicker is a candidate for reelection in 2024. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> * * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Another snapshot of RINOs is not unique to South Dakota: <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On September 9<\/span><span class=\"s7\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\">, former President Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Rapid City, South Dakota with an enthusiastic standing-room-only crowd of thousands.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Introduced by Governor Kristi Noem and greeted by a full line up of State officials, its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.govtrack.us\/congress\/members\/SD#senators\"><span class=\"s2\">two US Senators<\/span><\/a>, Sen. John Thune and Sen. Mike Rounds and US at large <a href=\"https:\/\/www.govtrack.us\/congress\/members\/SD#representatives\"><span class=\"s2\">Representative Dusty Johnson<\/span><\/a> were all absent. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thune serves as Senate Minority Whip which is next in line, behind Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and expects to assume the Leadership role upon McConnell\u2019s retirement.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While Thune and Rounds believe the 2020 election results were valid, both Thune and Rounds vote with Democrats on a regular basis.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>They have both <a href=\"https:\/\/listen.sdpb.org\/politics\/2023-05-22\/rounds-thune-endorse-tim-scotts-presidential-bid\"><span class=\"s2\">endorsed Sen. Tim Scott<\/span><\/a> (SC) for President.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Meanwhile, Rounds is running for re-election in 2024.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While Johnson may also be counted in the RINO camp, in 2019 Johnson voted inexplicably to override Trump\u2019s veto of a measure revoking Congressional declaration of a national emergency at the southern border.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Duh! In 2021 Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.argusleader.com\/story\/news\/2021\/05\/12\/liz-cheney-vote-rep-dusty-johnson-votes-keep-gop-leadership-donald-trump-south-dakota-congressman\/5063242001\/\"><span class=\"s2\">voted to retain<\/span><\/a> former Rep. Liz Cheney in House leadership and supported the Biden debt ceiling bill in May, 2023. Currently, Johnson as a member of the moderate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/mccarthy-demands-8-spending-cut-border-wall-to-avert-shutdown\/ar-AA1gRAk0?rc=1&amp;ocid=winp1taskbar&amp;cvid=e6566b571b1f408c98fbbfdd44f706c7&amp;ei=9\"><span class=\"s2\">Main Street Partnership<\/span><\/a> caucus is negotiating on behalf of Speaker McCarthy\u2019s continuing resolution proposal.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">These are striking politico-factoids which beg the question what exactly is the problem with the Republican party in red state South Dakota which votes over 60% Republican? <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The same question might be asked about Texas which just prevailed in a massive struggle to retain Attorney General Ken Paxton from impeachment by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpr.org\/government-politics\/2023-01-11\/under-new-texas-house-rules-democrats-can-chair-committees-be-punished-for-breaking-quorum\"><span class=\"s2\">Democratically infiltrated Republican majority<\/span><\/a>. However, the potential Paxton impeachment stimulated newly awakened rank n file America First activists who now better understand the need to push-back.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">* * <\/span>*<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Also in attendance at the Rapid City speech was Sen. Steve Daines (Mont.) who also serves as Chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrsc.org\/\"><span class=\"s2\">National Senate Republican Committee<\/span><\/a>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The NSRC is charged with recreating a Republican Senate majority.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Politics is always full of irony and Daines heading the NSRC may seem contrary to the fact that he frequently votes with the Democrats and rarely associates legislatively with Senators who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/schumer-gop-senators-trying-to-mimic-house-freedom-caucus-in-spending-fight\/ar-AA1gMV4o?rc=1&amp;ocid=winp1taskbar&amp;cvid=890a7ef9a30d4568e11141f8466e1749&amp;ei=21\"><span class=\"s2\">might be considered akin<\/span><\/a> to the House Freedom Caucus ie America First Senators &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and yet President Trump introduced Daines in friendly terms.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As chair of the NSRC, Daines recruited <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrsc.org\/uncategorized\/nrsc-chair-daines-statement-on-mike-rogers-announcement-2023-09-06\/\"><span class=\"s2\">former Rep. Mike Rogers<\/span><\/a> to run for an open Senate seat in Michigan. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A former Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Rogers is known as a political moderate, a supporter of NSA surveillance, not a Trump supporter, serves as Chair of the Board at the MITRE Corporation and, according to Wikipedia, serves on the Board of the Atlantic Council which has been a major supporter of NATO and US role in Ukraine since 2014.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So how exactly will Rogers improve the quality of the Republican Senate caucus?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Michigan Rogers is not to be confused with Rep. Mike Rogers (Ohio) who currently serves as Chair of the House Intel Committee, and yet, shares the former Mike Rogers RINO tendencies. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">* * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It should come as no surprise that consistent polling puts the public\u2019s Congressional approval rating at a mere 17% with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/207579\/public-approval-rating-of-the-us-congress\/\"><span class=\"s2\">lack of Congressional approval<\/span><\/a> at a solid<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>77%.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The steadily increasing numbers may be attributed to the Uniparty\u2019s preference for conventional, non threatening policies with no real obligation to improve the American quality of life or its historic commitment to self government; instead favoring a hardline position on the Ukraine war, ignoring debt implications of decades of militarism without a financial audit, increased censorship, approval of Biden\u2019s destruction of the country\u2019s judiciary with unqualified nominees, support for an unelected administrative state and challenges to the First and Second Amendments <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Today, an awakened American public have arisen to recognize that a multitude of Members represent an assortment of incompetent lethargic grifters, professional flim-flam artists and political hustlers who hang on ad infinitum for the generous Congressional salary with benefits that they awarded themselves; yet reluctant to do the work.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>What could go wrong with a stress-free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.majorityleader.gov\/uploadedfiles\/one-page-2023-house-calendar.pdf\"><span class=\"s2\">House<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/legislative\/2023_schedule.htm\"><span class=\"s2\">Senate<\/span><\/a> calendar of liberal at-home \u2018<i>work periods<\/i>,\u2019 avoidance of a demanding work load, less than engaged intellectual analytics while obeying \u2018<i>leadership\u2019<\/i> dictates topped off by negligible public oversight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There is an ongoing public question of whether a feeble Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky) should maintain control of the Republican caucus with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congressionalinstitute.org\/senate-republican-leadership-positions\/\"><span class=\"s2\">leadership team<\/span><\/a> of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>sycophants, the majority of which are Republicans from red states. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For obscure reasons, it is shameful that McConnell is allowed to control the Republicans caucus while lacking a seriously functioning Leader, one who might instill much needed vision, energy and integrity into the Senate Republican Party. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">More worrisome is McConnell\u2019s rule in cultivating new Senators who will personally support him and his neanderthal policies with no interest in recruiting candidates with an independent streak, an analytical mind as he is allowed to reign as if untouchable &#8211; which says a lot about the Republican caucus.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The logical question here is whether Senate caucus members will determine their own leader without being treated like children or forced to accept another insipid Minority Senate leader with Uniparty inclinations. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While a united Senate Republican caucus pulling in the same direction would be a positive move, to encourage new leadership and present a legislative alternative to the Democrats totalitarian regime. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While Senators Mitch McConnell (Ky), John Cornyn (Texas)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and Thune balk at a Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/senate-republicans-question-house-impeachment-inquiry-into-biden-7968777\"><span class=\"s2\">impeachment inquiry<\/span><\/a> citing a <\/span><span class=\"s2\">lack of evidence<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, Trump\u2019s two Senate impeachments were both considerably more flimsy by comparison.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Sen. Bill Cassidy (La), a former Democrat and a red state Democrat voter, supported Trump\u2019s 2021 impeachment, has declared he is \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2023\/sep\/10\/gop-sen-bill-cassidy-sidesteps-joe-biden-impeachme\/\"><span class=\"s2\">not going there\u2019<\/span><\/a> re Biden\u2019s impeachment. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In February 2021, after he had left office,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2023\/sep\/10\/gop-sen-bill-cassidy-sidesteps-joe-biden-impeachme\/\"><span class=\"s2\">seven Republican<\/span><\/a> voted in favor of Trump\u2019s impeachment; three have since left the Senate, one is on his way out (Romney) and the remaining three (Sens. Collins, Cassidy and Murkowski) regularly voted with the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Democrats.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> * * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a related leadership matter,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Sen. Ron Johnson (Wisc) recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/collins-takes-aim-at-ron-johnson-for-holding-up-funding-package\/ar-AA1gMDc6?rc=1&amp;ocid=winp1taskbar&amp;cvid=37b10b6376784e41db605b3ef2494a17&amp;ei=7\"><span class=\"s2\">incurred a snit<\/span><\/a> from Sen. Susan Collins (Me.) who serves as ranking minority on the Senate Appropriations Committee.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Johnson suggested a reasonable request that appropriation bills be voted on separately rather than buried within a mini-Omnibus package which is an essential smart move by the House Freedom Caucus.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>However, Collins who votes with the Democrats 99.5% of the time, may therefore lack the authority to demand that another Republican Senator dance to her tune. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s8\">\u201c<\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i>The Senate has been broken as long as I have served.
