in the &#8220;anti-vaccine movement&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Founded and funded by the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation, Gavi reposted an article on Feb 13 criticizing meme creators for spreading anti-vaccine messaging and profiting from pandemic fears.<\/p>\n<p>Critics are saying that the alliance is utilizing the &#8220;accusation in a mirror&#8221; tactic of <strong>attributing one&#8217;s own misdeeds to opponents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/embed\/0wiyVa_5W_oO5GuiSfxO7B0L1RS\" width=\"600\" height=\"835\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>According to <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/gates-gavi-memes-vaccine-disinformation-super-spreaders\/?\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/gates-gavi-memes-vaccine-disinformation-super-spreaders\/?\">the Defender:<\/a> <a title=\"https:\/\/www.gavi.org\/vaccineswork\/how-memes-transformed-pics-cute-cats-health-disinformation-super-spreaders\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gavi.org\/vaccineswork\/how-memes-transformed-pics-cute-cats-health-disinformation-super-spreaders\">The article<\/a> warned that while memes are often associated with &#8220;cute cats and celebrities with funny captions,&#8221; they have &#8220;a more sinister function&#8221; as &#8220;part of a highly sophisticated strategy to spread and monetise health disinformation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Citing the &#8220;long history&#8221; of anti-vaccination memes, the article featured an image from 1802 depicting a vaccine monster being fed a basket of infants and &#8220;excreting them with horns,&#8221; and another from 1892 showing a vaccination serpent and a dancing skeleton threatening a mother and infant.<\/p>\n<p>However, &#8220;The most infamous <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/cyber-war-declared-u-s-u-k-vaccine-hesitancy-prepare-mass-inoculations\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/cyber-war-declared-u-s-u-k-vaccine-hesitancy-prepare-mass-inoculations\/\">anti-vaccination<\/a> meme,&#8221; the article stated, &#8220;emerged from a now discredited 1998 study that falsely linked the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine with autism.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The article linked to a 2010 Canadian Medical Association Journal piece about <a title=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC2831678\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC2831678\/\">The Lancet&#8217;s retraction<\/a> of Dr. Andrew Wakefield&#8217;s paper and to a <a title=\"https:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/342\/bmj.c7452\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/342\/bmj.c7452\">2011 BMJ editorial<\/a> calling Wakefield&#8217;s study fraudulent.<\/p>\n<p>Wakefield&#8217;s study, the article claimed, resulted in the meme &#8220;vaccines cause autism&#8221; appearing on billboards and circulating &#8220;widely in the media.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holocaust survivor <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/vera-sharav-propaganda-tactics-persuasion-documentary\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/vera-sharav-propaganda-tactics-persuasion-documentary\/\"><strong>Vera Sharav<\/strong><\/a><strong> analyzed the <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/ahrp.org\/laffaire-wakefield-introduction\/\" href=\"https:\/\/ahrp.org\/laffaire-wakefield-introduction\/\"><strong>Wakefield controversy<\/strong><\/a><strong> in a multi-part article, noting that the U.K. High Court later found &#8220;no evidence whatsoever to support the charge of professional misconduct, much less the accusation of fraud.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Quoting the <a title=\"https:\/\/mediamanipulation.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/mediamanipulation.org\/\">Media Manipulation Casebook<\/a>, the article defined &#8220;meme war&#8221; as the propagation of memes for &#8220;political persuasion or community building, or to strategically spread narratives and other messaging crucial to a media manipulation campaign.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The authors identified &#8220;three recurring themes&#8221; in the memes encouraging vaccine refusal:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The government and social institutions are corrupt, politically compromised and tyrannical and are using unsafe and ineffective vaccines for surveillance, control and profit.<\/li>\n<li>Unvaccinated people are unfairly stigmatized and persecuted, &#8220;subject to Nazi-like sanctions and social exclusion.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>The vaccinated are morally and physically inferior to the unvaccinated, for example, they suffer from reduced fertility and critical thinking ability.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>But the most &#8220;sinister&#8221; element of the meme campaigns, according to the article, was to &#8220;profit financially from pandemic anxieties,&#8221; including promoting &#8220;potentially harmful&#8221; and &#8220;unapproved&#8221; health treatments like <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/hydroxychloroquine-covid-treatment-save-lives\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/hydroxychloroquine-covid-treatment-save-lives\/\"><strong>hydroxychloroquine<\/strong><\/a><strong> and <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/preventive-ivermectin-reduced-covid-mortality\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/preventive-ivermectin-reduced-covid-mortality\/\"><strong>ivermectin<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The authors did not explain how a person could make a living from selling inexpensive unpatented medicines, nor did they compare this claim to the profits made by companies peddling <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/remdesivir-kidney-function-covid\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/remdesivir-kidney-function-covid\/\"><strong>remdesivir<\/strong><\/a><strong> or <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/big-pharma-raked-in-usd-90-billion-in-profits-with-covid-19-vaccines\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/big-pharma-raked-in-usd-90-billion-in-profits-with-covid-19-vaccines\/\"><strong>COVID-19 vaccines<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, &#8220;under the protective guise of humour and satire&#8221; that &#8220;can evade <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/newsguard-fact-check-big-pharma-tech-cola\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/newsguard-fact-check-big-pharma-tech-cola\/\">fact checkers<\/a> and content moderators,&#8221; meme propagators &#8220;build their online following, sow distrust of health authorities, and profit from the promotion of unapproved medicines.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">&#8216;People aren&#8217;t buying what they&#8217;re selling&#8217;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Laura Bono, vice president of Children&#8217;s Health Defense (CHD), told The Defender, <span class=\"BoldRed\">&#8220;Evidently, <\/span><a title=\"https:\/\/www.gavi.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gavi.org\/\"><span class=\"BoldRed\">Gavi<\/span><\/a><span class=\"BoldRed\"> is missing the irony of publishing an article on the spread of vaccine &#8216;misinformation&#8217; when Gavi is one of the most prolific purveyors of pro-vaccine propaganda in the world.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Gavi, funded by a total of $4.1 billion since 2000 by its founding partner <a title=\"https:\/\/www.gavi.org\/investing-gavi\/funding\/donor-profiles\/bill-melinda-gates-foundation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gavi.org\/investing-gavi\/funding\/donor-profiles\/bill-melinda-gates-foundation\">the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation<\/a>, has a long history of pushing vaccines in developing countries in <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/news\/the-bill-gates-effect-whos-dtp-vaccine-kills-more-children-in-africa-than-the-diseases-it-targets\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/news\/the-bill-gates-effect-whos-dtp-vaccine-kills-more-children-in-africa-than-the-diseases-it-targets\/\">Africa<\/a> <strong>without adequate <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/fda-informed-consent-not-required-minimal-risk-studies\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/fda-informed-consent-not-required-minimal-risk-studies\/\"><strong>informed consent<\/strong><\/a><strong> over the risks.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gavi recently launched an <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/cameroon-africa-gsk-malaria-vaccine-babies\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/cameroon-africa-gsk-malaria-vaccine-babies\/\">anti-malarial vaccine campaign for babies<\/a> throughout Africa is targeting millions of girls in low- and middle-income countries worldwide with a <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/gates-gavi-invest-vaccinate-african-girls-hpv\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/gates-gavi-invest-vaccinate-african-girls-hpv\/\">human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bono said that Gavi and other Pharma-backed organizations are &#8220;grappling with the fact that parents around the globe are waking up to the <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/dissolving-illusions-lies-cover-ups-vaccines-cola\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/dissolving-illusions-lies-cover-ups-vaccines-cola\/\">serious risks posed by vaccines<\/a>, including autism, and that increasing numbers of people aren&#8217;t buying what they&#8217;re selling.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s ironic that Gavi is forced to go down this path \u2014 <strong>they clearly feel threatened<\/strong>,&#8221; said C. H. Klotz, editor of &#8220;<a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/canary-in-a-covid-world-book-censorship-propaganda\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/canary-in-a-covid-world-book-censorship-propaganda\/\">Canary In a Covid World<\/a>: How Propaganda and Censorship Changed Our (My) World.&#8221; He continued, &#8220;Little do they know that the people are not stupid, despite the propaganda.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to Klotz, more people became aware of propaganda through their experience with <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender_category\/covid\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender_category\/covid\/\">COVID-19<\/a>, &#8220;where we were told one thing and the opposite happened.&#8221; For example, &#8220;Get vaccinated to stop transmission and to protect yourself from ever contracting the virus again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;That all turned out to be a big lie,<\/strong>&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"https:\/\/steinhardt.nyu.edu\/people\/mark-crispin-miller\" href=\"https:\/\/steinhardt.nyu.edu\/people\/mark-crispin-miller\">Mark Crispin Miller<\/a>, professor of media, culture and communication at New York University (NYU), told The Defender that <strong>Gavi is using the article to attack others &#8220;for doing precisely what the propagandists have themselves been doing&#8221;<\/strong> \u2014 pushing and profiting from unproven medicines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;This projective tactic is exquisitely disarming and confusing to anyone who doesn&#8217;t know the truth, since it defines the honest ones as liars and the mighty liars themselves as founts of truth,&#8221;<\/strong> Miller said.<\/p>\n<p>Miller explained how this is &#8220;typical of all war propaganda&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender_category\/big-pharma\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender_category\/big-pharma\/\">Big Pharma<\/a> and its cohorts are playing the same head-game played by the Nazis and the Bolsheviks and by various &#8216;democratic&#8217; propagandists in times of war \u2014 which includes political campaigns as well as armed conflicts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s been called, aptly, &#8216;accusation in a mirror,&#8217; or sometimes, &#8216;mirror politics.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a title=\"https:\/\/dangerousspeech.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/dangerousspeech.org\/\">Dangerous Speech Project<\/a> \u2014 funded in part by George Soros&#8217; <a title=\"https:\/\/www.opensocietyfoundations.org\/who-we-are\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opensocietyfoundations.org\/who-we-are\">Open Society Foundations<\/a> \u2014 the &#8220;<a title=\"https:\/\/dangerousspeech.org\/faq\/\" href=\"https:\/\/dangerousspeech.org\/faq\/\">accusation in a mirror<\/a>&#8221; tactic asserts that &#8220;the audience faces serious and often mortal threats from the target group,&#8221; for example, &#8220;reversing reality by suggesting that the victims of a genocide will instead commit it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Hutu people used this tactic against the Tutsi people in the 1994 <a title=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/reports\/1999\/rwanda\/Geno4-7-03.htm\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/reports\/1999\/rwanda\/Geno4-7-03.htm\">Rwandan genocide<\/a>, accusing their intended victims of the very crimes they planned to commit against them.<\/p>\n<p>According to Miller, whoever engages in this tactic &#8220;takes us into the same nightmare world that George Orwell invokes in his book, &#8220;<a title=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/Nineteen-Eighty-four\" href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/Nineteen-Eighty-four\">1984<\/a>,&#8221; where &#8220;<a title=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@cafe4it\/the-meaning-of-war-is-peace-freedom-is-slavery-ignorance-is-strength-6dca5f7389f9\" href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@cafe4it\/the-meaning-of-war-is-peace-freedom-is-slavery-ignorance-is-strength-6dca5f7389f9\">War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miller was censured by members of his <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/www.thefire.org\/research-learn\/fire-letter-new-york-university-november-13-2020\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefire.org\/research-learn\/fire-letter-new-york-university-november-13-2020\"><strong>department at NYU<\/strong><\/a><strong> for attempting to teach his students \u2014 in a course on propaganda \u2014 about government and Pharma industry propaganda deployed during the pandemic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">Criminalizing memes?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/bill-gates-partner-gavi-vaccine-alliance-targets-online-memes\" href=\"https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/bill-gates-partner-gavi-vaccine-alliance-targets-online-memes\">Reclaim the Net<\/a>, picking up on the theme of an impending battle, said Gavi&#8217;s post was a &#8220;&#8216;call to action&#8217; &#8230; to formally criminalize memes,&#8221; citing the article&#8217;s claim that meme creators &#8220;evade responsibility for any negative consequences of their messaging.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Klotz agreed this could signal a further offensive by Big Pharma and its allies against &#8220;misinformation&#8221; spreaders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The barrage of <\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/war-minds-journalists-warn-propaganda-censorship-human-history\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/war-minds-journalists-warn-propaganda-censorship-human-history\/\"><strong>censorship and propaganda<\/strong><\/a><strong> has been relentless since 2020<\/strong> \u2014 I see no reason why it would let up now,&#8221; Koltz said. &#8220;They are playing for keeps and not playing Mr. Nice Guy. The new battleground is to control our hearts and minds.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">Gavi post summarizes authors&#8217; research article<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gavi reposted its meme war article from one originally published in <a title=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/how-memes-transformed-from-pics-of-cute-cats-to-health-disinformation-super-spreaders-221680\" href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/how-memes-transformed-from-pics-of-cute-cats-to-health-disinformation-super-spreaders-221680\">The Conversation<\/a> by two social science professors living half a world apart.<\/p>\n<p>The co-authors, <a title=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/profiles\/stephanie-alice-baker-493918\" href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/profiles\/stephanie-alice-baker-493918\">Stephanie Alice Baker, Ph.D.<\/a>, senior lecturer in sociology at City, University of London, England, and <a title=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/profiles\/michael-james-walsh-147733\" href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/profiles\/michael-james-walsh-147733\">Michael James Walsh, Ph.D.<\/a>, associate professor in social sciences, University of Canberra, Australia, co-wrote &#8220;&#8216;<a title=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/full\/10.1177\/20563051231224729\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/full\/10.1177\/20563051231224729\">Memes Save Lives<\/a>&#8216;: Stigma and the Production of Antivaccination Memes During the COVID-19 Pandemic,&#8221; published in Sage Journals.<\/p>\n<p>The Conversation article serves as a brief introduction to the Sage article, which cites the <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/disinformation-dozen-funding-ties-hollywood-corporate-dems\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/disinformation-dozen-funding-ties-hollywood-corporate-dems\/\">Center for Countering Digital Hate<\/a> (CCDH) as its source for identifying anti-vaccine &#8220;disinformation producers&#8221; on social media.<\/p>\n<p>CCDH is the organization that named Robert F. Kennedy Jr., CHD&#8217;s chairman on leave, among its &#8220;<a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/facebook-files-biden-censor-disinformation-dozen\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/facebook-files-biden-censor-disinformation-dozen\/\">Disinformation Dozen<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/full\/10.1177\/20563051231224729\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/full\/10.1177\/20563051231224729\">Baker and Walsh said<\/a> media influencers use memes for &#8220;commercial and political gain,&#8221; constructing messages &#8220;that correspond with logics of <a title=\"https:\/\/www.thoughtco.com\/stigma-notes-on-the-management-of-spoiled-identity-3026757\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thoughtco.com\/stigma-notes-on-the-management-of-spoiled-identity-3026757\">spoiled identity<\/a> to recast their own stigmatized social position and in the process defile vaccinated groups.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The authors claimed that &#8220;anti-vaccination&#8221; media influencers are already a discredited group, without acknowledging the propaganda machinery that labeled them that way in the first place.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They blamed this group for raising well-documented issues: ineffective vaccines that fail to stop infection or transmission; <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/us-developing-vaccine-passport-system\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/us-developing-vaccine-passport-system\/\">vaccine passports<\/a> and <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/moderna-surveillance-independent-media-covid-vaccine-narrative\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/moderna-surveillance-independent-media-covid-vaccine-narrative\/\">surveillance schemes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The authors focused on extreme instances of satirical memes found on the internet to invalidate any of these concerns <span class=\"BoldRed\">but failed to engage on the substance of the underlying arguments.<\/span> They claimed the creators of the memes were motivated by profit and political advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Baker and Walsh did not identify a single &#8220;misinformation spreader&#8221; in their research article, claiming they did not want to: 1. &#8220;amplify &#8230; the visibility of &#8216;bad actors'&#8221;; 2. &#8220;perpetuate [a] false equivalence&#8221; between the treatment of unvaccinated groups and &#8220;groups genuinely persecuted&#8221;; or 3. become the targets of &#8220;networked harassment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">New JAMA article perpetuates Pharma doublespeak<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Gavi post comes as JAMA Network on Monday published a &#8220;viewpoint&#8221; article, &#8220;<a title=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jama\/fullarticle\/2815786\" href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jama\/fullarticle\/2815786\">Misinformation and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System<\/a>&#8221; (VAERS).<\/p>\n<p>The JAMA article argued <a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/defender-in-depth-podcast-albert-benavides\/\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/defender-in-depth-podcast-albert-benavides\/\">VAERS reports<\/a> are frequently misinterpreted to fuel vaccine hesitancy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Terming an early-warning and monitoring system the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System and allowing full access to unvetted language increases public susceptibility to misconceptions about vaccine safety,&#8221; the authors wrote, adding, &#8220;Those seeking to discredit vaccination exploit that susceptibility.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should consider rebranding VAERS, according to the authors, because its reports are &#8220;mistakenly cited as confirmation that vaccines may be a significant cause of morbidity and mortality.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jama\/fullarticle\/2815786\" href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jama\/fullarticle\/2815786\">To &#8220;rebrand&#8221; VAERS<\/a>, the authors suggested:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"typ2\"><p>&#8220;Change the name of this system from the &#8216;Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System&#8217; to one that more accurately describes its purpose. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Reterming the system &#8216;Vaccine Safety Sentinel&#8217; would remind audiences that the incidents of concern are unverified, related to safety, and part of a monitoring or early-warning system.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Adding &#8216;safety&#8217; to the title would align the system with others in the CDC, &#8216;v-safe&#8217; notable among them, that include &#8216;safe&#8217; or &#8216;safety&#8217; in their name; adding &#8216;sentinel&#8217; would align the system with the FDA&#8217;s Sentinel initiative.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Commenting on the article and recommendation, Miller told The Defender:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"typ2\"><p><strong>&#8220;Such euphemism is as pointless as it is transparent. By now &#8216;vaccine hesitancy&#8217; is unstoppable no matter what they try to do about it, since far too many people have been bereaved and\/or sickened by the &#8216;vaccine&#8217; for any name-change to sweeten their impression.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The only purpose served by this obscene proposal is to serve as further evidence of the crimes perpetrated by the authors and promoters of this democide.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The lead author of the JAMA article, <a title=\"https:\/\/www.asc.upenn.edu\/people\/faculty\/kathleen-hall-jamieson-phd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asc.upenn.edu\/people\/faculty\/kathleen-hall-jamieson-phd\">Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D.<\/a>, is director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center.
