the Democrats are not just having a bad hair day with its widespread unconstitutional censorship, support for street violence, civil chaos at all levels and disruption of public society.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Even before Biden\u2019s announced attack on American institutions, it was obvious that the Ukraine war was always a foil to destroy Russia and Vladimir Putin in particular.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Like the Bolsheviks before them, the Democrats are in this domestic conflict to seize full and total control of the Federal government, collapse its independent judiciary and will not stop at whatever else must be done, whatever it takes to accomplish the conquest.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Besides a litany of invented propaganda, half-truths and lies, Biden\u2019s bombast contained a locked-in-time-and-place quality; as if he was still fighting communists from the 1950\u2019s.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">As if a warning forward to the 2024 political era, a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/video.search.yahoo.com\/search\/video?fr=ac1or7wjuol&amp;p=For+what+its+worth+by+Buffalo+Sprigfield&amp;type=E210US1285G91754#p=For+what+its+worth+by+Buffalo+Sprigfield&amp;type=E210US1285G91754&amp;id=1&amp;vid=c5f93ac77d885860bf708838fa5270bd&amp;action=view\"><span class=\"s2\">musical discovery<\/span><\/a> from the turbulent 1960\u2019s provided a prelude-of sorts to the chaos that may be expected that has percolated to the surface today. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Unfortunately not enough people of deep insight were paying attention to hear the message beyond its lyrics. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">If ever there was incentive to encourage Republicans to get their campaign act together, Biden\u2019 s State of the Union speech should have pushed them over the edge.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>While it was no surprise that he provided a one dimensional recitation with no real analysis of the State of the Union<\/span><span class=\"s4\">,<\/span><span class=\"s3\"> no insights into the country\u2019s well-being. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">A normally doddering old man, his outlook was <\/span><span class=\"s5\">absent any executive order on immigration or the southern border, exhibited <\/span><span class=\"s6\">no worries<\/span><span class=\"s3\"> about a cyber attack, a failed grid or a sleeper cell come awake and that J6 \u2018<i>insurrectionist<\/i>\u2019 was the \u2018<i>gravest threat to democracy since the civil war<\/i>.\u2019 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Instead there was praise for <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_labor_unions_in_the_United_States\"><span class=\"s2\">public school teachers<\/span><\/a>, the country\u2019s largest union which will deliver the Democratic vote<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and acknowledging the US on the international stage as the originator of Forever Wars.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">The most striking element of the evening was Biden\u2019s cite of FDR\u2019s WW II alert to the country as if to predict the US was about to experience a similar \u201c<i>unprecedented moment to Wake Up Congress and alert the American people that this was no ordinary time.\u201d<\/i> <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Satisfying the Dems bloodlust is always popular as he alleged<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201c<i>Putin of Russia is on the march<\/i>\u201d and \u201c<\/span><span class=\"s6\"><i>If anybody in this room thinks Putin will stop at Ukraine, I assure you, he will not.\u201d<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"s6\">Further assuring continued hostilities in Ukraine, with all the bravado he could must, \u201c<i>I will not walk away<\/i>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><i>We will not bow down. I will not bow down<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s8\">.\u201d <\/span><span class=\"s3\">The Ukraine war is not just any military conflict; it is an existential conflict as NATO \u2018s last stand as a US proxy in its adversary war against Russia. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Surrounded by a wildly cheering throng of true believers, including female House Democrats who dressed in white as if to convey images of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/38447.The_Handmaid_s_Tale\"><span class=\"s2\">The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/span><\/a>, a dystopian view of a futuristic<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>America which may already be on our doorstep.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The House floor atmosphere reeked of a mindless partisan pep rally with Biden frequently slurping his words, could have claimed the moon made of blue cheese as that group of unhinged leftist syncophants would have shouted their robotic praise.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">There was nothing philosophical that suggested Biden\u2019s thought process on how he makes decisions, <\/span><span class=\"s4\"><b>if<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s3\"> he is the decision-maker.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He was totally lost in his own ill-conceived agenda that the current maelstrom of upheaval throughout the country remains a mystery to him as it is to much of Congress, with no understanding that the majority of Americans have seen through the pretend narrative. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Propagating the fantasy of a blue collar Democratic party which has otherwise transfigured itself into a revolutionary Socialist cadre, Biden preached from his perch as the Oracle of DC delivering prophecies to the awaiting pagans, promising he was \u201c<i>delivering results in fiscally responsible ways; we\u2019ve cut the federal deficit over $1 trillion<\/i>\u201d which was in total denial of the fiscal realities threatening a default on the debt.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s9\">Days after the Supreme Court delivered a 9-0 vote maintaining Trump\u2019s right to be on the Colorado ballot,<\/span> <span class=\"s9\">Biden<\/span> <span class=\"s9\">dared to directly threaten the Supreme Court on abortion<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u201c<i>With all due respect, Justices, women are not without &#8230; electoral or political power,&#8221;<\/i> adding off the cuff \u00a0&#8220;<i>You\u2019re about to realize just how much \u2026\u201d<\/i> to audience hoorays and standing ovations as the Justices remained impassive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\"> * <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s6\">To add further chaos at about the same time Biden was spinning multiple deceits, after seventeen years as Senate <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Minority Leader <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Sen. Mitch McConnell (Ky)<\/span><span class=\"s3\"> announced he will step down after the November election when a new minority (or majority) leader is selected.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The question remained open of why he is allowed to prolong the agony of maintaining a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2024\/03\/josh-hawley-goes-mitch-mcconnell-tense-private-meeting\/?utm_source=Email&amp;utm_medium=the-gateway-pundit&amp;utm_campaign=dailyam&amp;utm_content=2024-03-02\"><span class=\"s2\">handicapped<\/span><\/a> coercive leader as the only top Republican leader who did not endorse President Trump for re election.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">As the Senate<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> mechanically rubber stamped a 1,000 page appropriation bill for a mere<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/03\/08\/us\/politics\/senate-spending-bill-shutdown.html\"><span class=\"s2\">$460 Billion<\/span><\/a> filled with Pelosi spending levels and Schumer woke policies, Republicans are desperately in need of a fully functioning leader better aware of today\u2019s political realities <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/legislative\/LIS\/roll_call_votes\/vote1182\/vote_118_2_00079.htm#position\"><span class=\"s2\">63-35<\/span><\/a> vote included the usual fourteen RINOs who frequently vote with the Dems.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Without Republican \u2018cooperation,\u2019 the funding resolution would have failed on a 49-49 tie vote.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Earlier, the Senate approved the Continuing Reconciliation which had previously been adopted by the House in an effort to avoid a government shutdown as if the wheels of government would grind to a halt thereby stalling the embedded administrative staff from dominating the federal bureaucracy. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>HR<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>4366, the Consolidated Appropriations Act was adopted on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/legislative\/LIS\/roll_call_votes\/vote1182\/vote_118_2_00084.htm#position\"><span class=\"s2\">75 \u2013 22<\/span><\/a> vote with a colossal 25 Republicans voting with the Democrats.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">It should be a puzzlement how those Democrat-voting Republicans are from Red Republican states which can only be attributed to an apathetic, unengaged constituency. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/the-race-is-on-here-s-who-could-replace-mitch-mcconnell-as-senate-republican-leader\/ar-BB1j4lm5?cvid=f0ce24711cb046b4b921a84d2c1ee7df&amp;ocid=winp2fptaskbarhover&amp;ei=13\">Leadership candidates<\/a><\/span><span class=\"s3\"> Sen. John Thune (S.D.) and Sen. John Cornyn (Texas) who frequently vote with the Dems, voted to support the CR. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Sen. John Barrasso (Wyo), also a leadership candidate was Not Voting. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Similar floor debates in the Senate have not captured the same level of attention as the House which has long been a bastion for being more<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>obstreperous as it is referred to as the People\u2019s House<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>rather than the more egalitarian \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/topics\/us-government-and-politics\/history-of-the-us-senate\"><span class=\"s2\">upper house\u2019 Senate<\/span><\/a><\/span><span class=\"s2\">;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\"> although they share a legislative stature, the House initiates impeachments and \u2018<i>raising revenue\u2019<\/i>. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">It is no secret that under the aegis of Sen. Mitch McConnell as leader of the Senate\u2019s Republican caucus, the Senate lost its stature, losing its eminent edge over the years and is no longer internationally recognized as the world\u2019s most esteemed judicial government agency on Constitutional law and legal issues. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">None of the RINO candidates have yet displayed real leadership qualities when it mattered or can be expected to provide alternative political resistance as authentic governance on the debt ceiling or fiscal imbalance irretrievably tied to military conflict or rescue the country from the clutches of the McConnell\/Schumer foreign policy directives. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Senators Mike Lee (Utah), Sen. Rand Paul (Ky) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rickscott.senate.gov\/2024\/3\/sen-scott-reckless-earmarks-betray-taxpayers-and-must-be-stopped\"><span class=\"s2\">Sen. Rick Scott<\/span><\/a> (Fl.) questioned the <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2024\/03\/06\/the-budget-deal-is-overflowing-with-12-billion-of-earmarks\/\"><span class=\"s2\">6,000 earmarks<\/span><\/a> buried within the CR with an accumulated cost of $12.7 billion to American taxpayers.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Sen. Scott, who challenged McConnell in 2022 is also an announced candidate for Leader and voted against the CR as did Lee and Paul.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s3\">Multiple Continuing Resolutions were opposed by those fiscally responsible members of Congress who favor single subject spending bills, who are alarmed at the $35 Trillion debt along with the $2 trillion deficit which is expected to increase $1 trillion approximately every 90 days. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The full implications of the disintegration of the US, hitting an economic rock bottom has not yet been explained sufficiently to the vast American public which assume tweedle dee and tweedled dum will be ever present to bail them out as everything works out for the best.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s11\"><i>Renee Parsons\u00a0served on the ACLU\u2019s Florida State Board of Directors and as president of the ACLU Treasure Coast Chapter.
