Under the skin is the final authoritarian frontier; as many have noted before, if you don\u2019t have control over what is injected into your body, you don\u2019t have freedom in any meaningful sense of the word.<\/p>\n

If the Kiwis aren\u2019t rioting in the streets of Auckland at this very moment, if this isn\u2019t the straw that broke the camel\u2019s back \u2014 either because the information space in New Zealand is so tightly controlled that they don\u2019t know what their government is doing to them or because they are too psychologically\/spiritually compromised to be bothered to do anything about it \u2014 all hope of a popular resistance may be lost.<\/p>\n

Via\u00a0New Zealand Pandemic Plan<\/a>\u00a0(emphasis added):<\/p>\n

\u201cSpecial powers are authorised by the Minister of Health<\/strong>\u00a0or by an epidemic notice or apply\u00a0where an emergency has been declared<\/strong>\u00a0under the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002.\u00a0The power to detain, isolate or quarantine allows a medical officer of health to \u2018require persons, places, buildings, ships, vehicles, aircraft, animals, or things to be isolated, quarantined, or disinfected\u2019 (section 70(1)(f)).<\/strong>\u00a0The power to prescribe preventive treatment allows a medical officer of health<\/strong>, in respect of any person who has been isolated or quarantined,\u00a0to require people to remain where they are isolated or quarantined<\/strong>\u00a0until they have been medically examined and found to be free from infectious disease, and\u00a0until they have undergone such preventive treatment as the medical officer of health prescribes<\/strong>\u00a0(section 70(1)(h))\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

Section 71A states that\u00a0a member of the police may do anything reasonably necessary (including the use of force) to help a medical officer of health or any person authorized by the medical officer of health in the exercise or performance of powers or functions<\/strong>\u00a0under sections 70 or 71.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
