House Oversight Chairman James Comer questioned Rep. Jamie Raskin\u2019s commitment to democracy on Friday, declaring the Maryland Democrat would rebuff the 2024 presidential election results if Donald Trump retakes the White House.<\/p>\n

The accusations by Comer (R-Ky) come after the release of a new report in which Raskin \u2013 the top Democrat on the House Oversight committee and a former Jan. 6 committee member \u2013 said he \u201cdefinitely\u201d does not expect the former president to observe \u201cfree, fair and honest means\u201d to win the Nov. 5 election, according to reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cRanking member Raskin is the ultimate hypocrite,\u201d Comer told Fox News Digital. \u201cHe talks a big game about \u2018saving democracy\u2019 yet actively undermines it by sowing seeds of doubt in America\u2019s free and fair elections when it benefits him to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Kentucky Republican suggested Raskin doesn\u2019t care about democracy and only wants a Democrat in the White House \u201cwhatever the cost,\u201d accusing Raskin of being \u201ca two-time election denier.\u201d<\/p>\n

Comer claimed Raskin once suggested the 2000 election was illegitimate and then failed to certify the election results when Trump won the presidency in 2016.<\/p>\n
