{"id":258145,"date":"2024-10-22T08:54:01","date_gmt":"2024-10-22T12:54:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=258145"},"modified":"2024-10-22T08:54:01","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T12:54:01","slug":"communist-run-democrat-party-doesnt-do-bipartisanship-for-the-good-of-the-country-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=258145","title":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Communist-run Democrat Party Doesn&#8217;t Do Bipartisanship For The Good Of The Country&#8212;EVER!<\/b><\/h2>"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"s1\">When BiPartisanship Fails<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Renee Parsons<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Long before I had ever heard of <a href=\"https:\/\/founders.archives.gov\/documents\/Madison\/01-10-02-0178\"><span class=\"s2\">Number 10<\/span><\/a> of the Federalist Papers which was part of the Founder\u2019s effort to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>ratify the US Constitution, there was an element of bi partisanship that was always somewhat irksome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Written in 1787 in the interests of \u201c<i>Safeguards Against Domestic Faction and Insurrection<\/i>\u201d and a well coordinated Federal government, # 10 was written by fourth President of the US and author of the US Constitution, James Madison.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While the Founders were initially non partisan, Madison argued in #10 that<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>\u2018<i>factionalism<\/i>\u2019 was a danger to its democratic roots even with little understanding how partisan politics would ultimately come to dominate the American political movement. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As they became aware of \u2018<i>factionalism<\/i>\u2019 as a dangerous component which encouraged wide spread conflicts between rival parties; thus creating enough dissension to threaten American progress in its efforts to form a \u2018<i>more perfect union\u2019<\/i>. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the interest of identifying \u2018<i>factionalism<\/i>\u2019 as a positive element to enable ratification of the Constitution, Madison created a lengthy and rather provocative document to publicly address the potential of any self seeking conflict or disagreement.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In what ultimately morphed into a modern day version commonly referred to as bi partisanship, today\u2019s House of Representatives found bi partisanship to be a useful vehicle to adopt what might otherwise be a questionable amendment that House Leadership was very desirous of adopting. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Bi partisanship was also frequently touted to rank n file constituents as evidence that their local Elected was on the job.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As the Founders struggled to find unanimity or at least a level of consensus that allowed the Government to function and move forward, differences could not be counted on to be treated with respect as conflicts between rival parties frequently appeared.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A faction may be a number of citizens which may be linked by a common interest in order to accomplish the necessary goal or a faction may be adverse to those goals and use factionalism to eliminate the menace or control its effects. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With the potential re-election of Donald J. Trump perhaps days away, it is not too early to consider how that election could affect the continued existence of the national government\u2019s hundreds of Federal agencies as Elon Musk may consider their DOGE future.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There are at least two significant Federal institutions that have long claimed to be bi partisan to their core, which has provided them with the blessing of a sanctity as they peddle their wares. And both are predominant in today\u2019s 2024 election agenda.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bipartisanship_in_United_States_politics#:~:text=It%2520is%2520claimed%2520that%2520the%2520non-partisanship%2520in%2520foreign,United%2520States%2520should%2520be%2520raised%2520above%2520party%2520differences.\"><span class=\"s2\">bi partisanship<\/span><\/a> definition that suggests support from a melding of \u201c<i>across the aisle<\/i>\u201d or from both sides of America\u2019s two party political system, bi partisanship offers some semblance of electoral fairness in that both sides are heard from.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bi partisanship encourages the notion that all points of view have been considered, interpreted to allow all credible points of view considered valid, each from the other, as a plausible whole context is created for public acceptance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The question arises how does bi partisanship increases American knowledge or awareness if further discussion is foreclosed because bi partisanship has already denied the need for further ideas or discussion.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Both sides of Congress, especially the House, depend on bi partisanship to market an amendment or even promote final passage so that there is little or no further need to repeat the obvious \u2013 that all partisan agreement has come together to adopt what may be otherwise, contradictory tenets under one roof.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While ultimately a bi partisan superior force may appear to accept the interests in which an over-bearing majority may appear to represent a well-modulated, common goal; thereby negating the need for further analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At what point does political reality rely on bi partisanship to market its political worth, so that there is less debate, no real consternation that there is great unanimity within the body politic. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Or that by virtue of its bi partisanship status,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>there is no need to relitigate the question or to ponder the fine points as those have already been considered and dismissed in order to present a well considered bi partisan agreement that all Americans may rally around. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">No. 10 addressed <a href=\"https:\/\/billofrightsinstitute.org\/primary-sources\/federalist-no-10\"><span class=\"s2\">factionalism<\/span><\/a> as a potential threat to democracy when a citizens with similar concerns may morph into one single minded body like a faction which denies its ability to accept other outside view and becomes myopic in its correct-ness at the expense of another more widespread opinion.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There was something off-putting to think of an organized group of political people who were always in lock-step with each other, despite differences of opinion. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One sterling example of bi partnership is creation of a new federal bureaucracy with the Department of Education in 1976 as a separate entity from its original Department of Health, Education and Welfare roots. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With millions of politically active members and yet maintains a certain level of bipartisanship as if they only come together on issues of mutual interest.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>As one entity, they continue to flood the country with like-minded members who represent every school district in the country with a unanimity of political opinion \u2013 all in the name of friendly bi-partnership. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Today, the nation\u2019s school teacher unions speak with one voice on DEI and transgender related issues within thousands of school districts in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In its first political endorsement ever, federalizing the National Education Association began with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bing.com\/videos\/riverview\/relatedvideo?&amp;q=%252bPresident+Carter+appoints+Department+of+Education+and+nationalize+School+Board+Union+oard+Labor+Union&amp;&amp;mid=1A6785EFBF2781591D4C1A6785EFBF2781591D4C&amp;&amp;FORM=VRDGAR\"><span class=\"s2\">Carter Administration<\/span><\/a> as a powerful political deal made with the largest labor union in the country.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With 180 Democratic NEA delegates to the 1976 DNC Convention, Carter received the Convention\u2019s endorsement as the NEA became a major force organizing the Carter 1980 campaign.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">By the time the bill creating the DoED passed in Congress, President Carter&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/116677\/presidential-approval-ratings-gallup-historical-statistics-trends.aspx\"><span class=\"s2\">approval rating<\/span><\/a> was at its nadir\u2014below 30 percent\u2014in large part thanks to an international <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autonews.com\/article\/20131013\/GLOBAL\/310139997\/1979-oil-shock-meant-recession-for-u.s.-depression-for-autos\"><span class=\"s2\">oil and energy crisis<\/span><\/a> contributing to a tanking economy and a national &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/wgbh\/americanexperience\/features\/primary-resources\/carter-crisis\/\"><span class=\"s2\">crisis of confidence<\/span><\/a>.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A section on the DoED in the Cato Institute&#8217;s <i>Handbook for Congress<\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/object.cato.org\/sites\/cato.org\/files\/serials\/files\/cato-handbook-policymakers\/2003\/9\/hb108-28.pdf\"><span class=\"s2\">includes a passage<\/span><\/a> about the lukewarm support from Congressional Democrats who were more motivated to keep a Democrat in the White House than to creation of a new Federal bureaucracy:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to Rep. Benjamin Rosenthal (D-N.Y.), Congress went along with the plan<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>of &#8220;<i>not wanting to embarrass the president<\/i>.&#8221; Also, many members of Congress had made promises to teachers in their home districts to support the new department.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Currently, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) introduced H.R. 899, a one-sentence long bill which would eliminate the Department of Education in its entirety by the end of 2018.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> ***<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition, the League of Women Voters was founded in 1920 just prior to ratification of the 19<\/span><span class=\"s3\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> Amendment giving women the right to vote.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Currently, there are over 700 state and local League of Women Voters (LWV) chapters which also benefit from the non partisan grassroots identity.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In 1988, the LWV withdrew its sponsorship of Presidential election debates.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Leagues are frequently associated as an off-shoot with Democratic agenda items including expansion of voting rights, immigration and climate change.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>More recently, the LWV has become a persuasive voice for Planned Parenthood and as a major national sponsor for its Constitutional Right to Abortion amendment.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Across the country, LWV supports a state wide amendment to embed the right to abortion within each state\u2019s Constitution; thereby negating the need to respond to changing political climates.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In Colorado, the proposed amendment will need a 55% vote to enshrine abortion in its state Constitution. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Whether it be domination of the powerful American school teacher\u2019s union or participation at the heart of the Democratic party organization or the equally influential League of Women Voters cadres across the country: the Democrats achieved a new persistent level of political status.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Each resilient faction, representative as loyal partisans pledging to \u2018<i>bi-partisan\u2019<\/i> meaning that equal part of partisanship was beyond question as to its neutrality although never questioning the origin of representing both sides of same coin.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The League broadened its services to include \u2018<i>health care\u2019<\/i> to justify its dubious identity although not a major American health care industry contribution.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition, especially active for the upcoming election is the League of Women Voters who are nationally in support of a replica of Colorado\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/articles\/league-of-women-voters-embed-abortion-rights-into-colorados-constitution\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Amendment 79<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The League is another group of politically elitist women who tend to be Democrats who support abortion rights but have, more recently, with Planned Parenthood offered<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>a safe \u2018health care\u2019 option, as they have<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>lost their sense of relating to working class women by a lack of spiritual essence rather than making prudent discriminating choices. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When BiPartisanship Fails Renee Parsons\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-258145","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/258145","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=258145"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/258145\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=258145"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=258145"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=258145"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
