{"id":29546,"date":"2020-09-26T15:22:48","date_gmt":"2020-09-26T19:22:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=29546"},"modified":"2020-09-26T17:54:20","modified_gmt":"2020-09-26T21:54:20","slug":"australian-government-arrogates-power-unto-itself-to-forcibly-remove-underwear-to-administer-vaccines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=29546","title":{"rendered":"Australian Government Illicitly Arrogates Power Unto Itself to Forcibly Remove Underwear to Administer Vaccines"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Australian state law empowers officials to forcibly remove underwear to administer vaccine<\/h1>\n<p><!--more--><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/arrest_wall_810_500_75_s_c1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"500\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29547\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/arrest_wall_810_500_75_s_c1.jpg 810w, https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/arrest_wall_810_500_75_s_c1-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/arrest_wall_810_500_75_s_c1-768x474.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><em>Law enforcement has the legal power &#8216;to remove anything (including underwear) that the relevant person is wearing&#8217; if it&#8217;s determined that that person must be vaccinated.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>By Paul Smeaton<br \/>\nLifeSiteNews<\/p>\n<p>WESTERN AUSTRALIA, September 24, 2020 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/\">LifeSiteNews<\/a>) \u2014 The state of Western Australia has legislated to allow police officers or other \u201cauthorised officers\u201d to restrain individuals and, if deemed necessary, forcibly remove their underwear in order to administer a vaccine.<\/p>\n<div class=\"art-video-inline\">\n<div class=\"art-video-embed\" data-entry-id=\"210762\" data-entry-urltitle=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nyyQrotbeXo\" data-event-type=\"Video\" data-event-play=\"Play Article Video\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"entryid-210762\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nyyQrotbeXo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>LifeSiteNews recently became aware of the legislation and is in communication with a number of residents of Western Australia who, until recently, were unaware of the extraordinary powers granted to the government in state law.<\/p>\n<p>The so-called \u201creasonable force\u201d includes the powers to:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>(a) to apprehend and detain the person to whom the direction applies (the relevant person) and take the relevant person to a place where the person is required to undergo medical observation, medical examination or medical treatment or to be vaccinated in accordance with the direction; and<\/p>\n<p>(b) to detain the relevant person at the place where he or she is required to undergo medical observation, medical examination or medical treatment or to be vaccinated in accordance with the direction; and<\/p>\n<p>(c) to restrain the relevant person \u2014<\/p>\n<p>(i) to enable a medical observation, medical examination or medical treatment to be carried out; or<\/p>\n<p>(ii) to enable the relevant person to be vaccinated;<\/p>\n<p>(d) to remove anything (including underwear) that the relevant person is wearing, if \u2014<\/p>\n<p>(i) the removal of the thing is reasonably necessary to enable a medical examination or medical treatment to be carried out or, as the case requires, to enable the person to be vaccinated; and<\/p>\n<p>(ii) the relevant person is given a reasonable opportunity to remove the thing himself or herself, and refuses or fails to do so.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On the Western Australia government website showing \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislation.wa.gov.au\/legislation\/statutes.nsf\/aspassed_2016.html&amp;sortby=title\">Original Acts as passed<\/a>\u201d for Western Australian legislation, the text is included in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislation.wa.gov.au\/legislation\/prod\/filestore.nsf\/FileURL\/mrdoc_28980.pdf\/$FILE\/Public%20Health%20Act%202016%20-%20%5B00-00-00%5D.pdf?OpenElement\">the original 2016 Public Health Act<\/a>. An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislation.wa.gov.au\/legislation\/prod\/filestore.nsf\/FileURL\/mrdoc_43155.pdf\/$FILE\/Public%20Health%20Act%202016%20-%20%5B00-k0-00%5D.pdf?OpenElement\">updated version of the act<\/a>\u00a0as of September 12, 2020 is also available on the government website and includes the same text.<\/p>\n<p>An Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2020-06-17\/fact-check-wa-emergency-powers-vaccination-covid-19\/12349842\">fact check<\/a>\u201d article on the issue was published in June this year when some social media\u2013users first became aware of the legislation and raised alarm online.<\/p>\n<p>The ABC article states that \u201c[t]hese powers are only enforceable under a public health state of emergency, as was declared in Western Australia on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wa.gov.au\/sites\/default\/files\/2020-05\/WA-Declaration-of-Public-Health-State-of-Emergency-No2.pdf\">23 March 2020<\/a>, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rocco Loiacono, senior lecturer at the Curtin Law School in Western Australia, told LifeSiteNews that \u201cthere is no basis for any public health emergency since there has not been any community transmission of the virus in WA since early April!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government should have declared the emergency over months ago,\u201d Loiacono said, \u201cbut of course they will not now relinquish these newfound powers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Australian prime minister Scott Morrison announced that his government had\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/australian-prime-minister-covid-vaccine-will-be-as-mandatory-as-you-can-possibly-make-it\">made an agreement<\/a>\u00a0with the British pharmaceutical company Astrazeneca to supply Australians with their coronavirus vaccine for free, providing that the vaccine\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/uk-university-test-covid-19-vaccine-derived-from-aborted-fetal-cell-line-in-africa-brazil\">passes clinical trials<\/a>.
