US President Donald Trump has urged Americans not to fear the coronavirus and pledged that he would soon be \u201cback to work\u201d in his first statement from the White House since leaving hospital, where he was treated for Covid-19.<\/p>\n
The president shared a brief video message on Twitter after returning to the White House on Monday evening, thanking staff at Walter Reed Medical Center and stating that he felt\u00a0\u201cbetter than I have in a long time\u201d<\/em>\u00a0after his three-day stay.<\/p>\n \u201cOne thing that\u2019s for certain: Don\u2019t let [Covid-19] dominate you, don\u2019t be afraid of it, you\u2019re going to beat it. We have the best medical equipment, we have the best medicines, all developed recently,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Trump said, adding that his team was\u00a0\u201cgoing back to work\u201d<\/em>\u00a0while vowing that\u00a0\u201cthe vaccines are coming momentarily.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n I stood out front, I led. Nobody that\u2019s a leader would not do what I did. I know there\u2019s a risk, there\u2019s a danger, but that\u2019s OK. Now I\u2019m better, and maybe I\u2019m immune, I don\u2019t know. But don\u2019t let it dominate your lives. Get out there, be careful.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
