    White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and two of her deputies have tested positive for the coronavirus as President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0remains\u00a0hospitalized with the virus.<\/a><\/p>\n

    McEnany and her two deputies, Chad Gilmartin and Karoline Leavitt, are among at\u00a0least 18 people people in the White House<\/a>, or connected to Trump\u2019s reelection campaign or to recent White House events, who have\u00a0tested positive for Covid-19<\/a> since late last week.<\/p>\n

    \u201cAfter testing negative consistently, including every day since Thursday, I\u00a0tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning<\/a>\u00a0while experiencing no symptoms,\u201d\u00a0 McEnany said on Twitter.<\/p>\n

    \u201cNo reporters, producers, or members of the press are listed as close contacts by the White House Medical Unit.\u201d<\/p>\n

    It was not clear when Gilmartin, who is principal assistant press secretary, and Leavitt, who is assistant press secretary, tested positives for Covid-19. Their diagnoses, which were confirmed by NBC News with two sources familiar with their situation, were made public only after McEnany disclosed her diagnois on Twitter.<\/p>\n
