President Trump Tweet-Storm: Reauthorizes Declassification of all Documents \u2013 Will This Time Make A Difference?\u2026<\/h2>\n

President Donald Trump has transmitted an epic\u00a0tweet-storm<\/a>\u00a0seemingly targeted toward all officials within the executive branch; and the intelligence apparatus writ large:<\/p>\n

One important note of caution: there is a big difference between \u201cauthorized\u201d and \u201cordered\u201d.\u00a0 On May 23rd, 2019, President Trump\u00a0authorized AG Bill Barr<\/a>\u00a0to declassify all documents and despite much optimism nothing happened {Go DEEP<\/a>}.\u00a0 However, President Trump references that lack of inaction in the next series of tweets:<\/p>\n

Presumably \u201cpeople\u201d who \u201cacted very slowly\u201d would pertain to AG Bill Barr, FBI Director Chris Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel, State Dept Secretary Mike Pompeo and former ODNI Dan Coats. \u00a0 President Trump asks those agencies now to \u201cAct!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

President Trump also expressed the same frustration many of us feel about how these agencies and institutions have operated only to protect their own interests.\u00a0 He even\u00a0re-tweeted<\/a>\u00a0the meme of Bill Barr to drive home the point.<\/p>\n
