Secretary of State\u00a0Mike Pompeo<\/a><\/span>\u00a0said Friday he expects his agency will release more of\u00a0Hillary Clinton<\/a><\/span>\u2019s emails in the coming weeks after\u00a0President Trump<\/a><\/span>\u00a0publicly urged him to be more aggressive in going after the former secretary of State and other political rivals.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got the emails, we\u2019re getting them out. We\u2019re going to get all this information out so the American people can see it,\u201d Pompeo said during an interview\u00a0with Fox News’s Dana Perino.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re doing it as fast as we can. I certainly think there\u2019ll be more to see before the election,\u201d he added when pressed about the timing.<\/p>\n Pompeo did not specify exactly which emails he was referring to, though Trump and his allies have long railed against Clinton for keeping official emails with classified information on a personal server.<\/p>\n Classified information \u201cshould have never been there,\u201d Pompeo said Friday in reference to the server, adding that the former Obama Cabinet secretary engaged in \u201cunacceptable behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n The declaration comes after Trump\u00a0criticized Pompeo<\/a>\u00a0and Attorney General\u00a0William Barr<\/a><\/span>\u00a0for not being aggressive enough in going after his political opponents.<\/p>\n Trump has ramped up pressure on administration officials to levy punishments on Clinton and other Obama-era officials for the former’s use of a private email server and the latter’s involvement in opening a probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.<\/p>\n
