Democratic nominee\u00a0Joe Biden<\/a> said the only way he could lose the 2020 election was through \u201cchicanery,\u201d before later adding he would accept the results of the election.<\/p>\n \u201cMake sure to vote,\u201d the former vice president told voters at a campaign stop in\u00a0Pennsylvania<\/a>, \u201cBecause the only way we lose this is by the chicanery going on relative to polling places.\u201d<\/p>\n Biden said that President Trump was trying to discourage voting by casting doubt on mail-in ballot security and telling supporters to \u201cgo to polls and watch very carefully\u201d on Election Day.<\/p>\n TRUMP SAYS BIDEN WILL ATTEMPT TO ‘STEAL’ PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Before leaving Pennsylvania, Biden clarified his comments to reporters. He said his remarks were\u00a0 \u201ctaken a little out of context,\u201d adding, \u201cI\u2019m going to accept the outcome of this election, period.\u201d<\/p>\n “What I was referencing is the attempts that are made to try to influence and scare people from voting. You should not pay attention to them,” the Democratic nominee continued.<\/p>\n Biden has repeatedly said Trump would try to \u201csteal\u201d victory if he didn\u2019t win the election.<\/p>\n The Biden campaign has recruited hundreds of lawyers and volunteers to oversee Election Day and prevent chaos.<\/p>\n When asked if he would accept a peaceful transfer of power at the first presidential debate, Trump deferred, instead decrying widespread mail-in voting.<\/p>\n TRUMP BLASTS BALLOTS WHEN ASKED ABOUT ELECTION AFTERMATH<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Before that, a reporter pressed the president previously. \u201cWin, lose or draw in this election, will you commit here today for a peaceful transferal of power after the election?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe’re going to have to see what happens,” Trump said during the\u00a0White House<\/a>\u00a0news conference. “You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster.”<\/p>\n \u201cGet rid of the ballots and you\u2019ll have a very peaceful \u2014 there won’t be a transfer, frankly. There will be a continuation,\u201d Trump said, referring to mail-in ballots. \u201cThe ballots are out of control. You know it, and you know who knows it better than anyone else? The Democrats know it better than anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n
