{"id":32981,"date":"2020-10-23T12:54:24","date_gmt":"2020-10-23T16:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=32981"},"modified":"2020-10-23T12:56:59","modified_gmt":"2020-10-23T16:56:59","slug":"the-critical-swing-voters-just-gave-trump-a-debate-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=32981","title":{"rendered":"The Critical Swing Voters Just Gave Trump a Debate Victory"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Swing Voters Give Debate Win To Trump: LA Times Panel<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->ZeroHedge.com<\/p>\n<p>A LA Times panel of 14 undecided voters conducted by Pollster Frank Luntz &#8211; most recently in the news for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WarRoomPandemic\/status\/1319022578002964485?s=20\">leaked email exchange<\/a>\u00a0with Hunter Biden &#8211; thought that during Thursday night&#8217;s debate, President Trump was &#8216;controlled, reserved, poised, con artist and surprisingly presidential,&#8217; while former Vice President Joe Biden came off as &#8216;vague, unspecific, elusive, defensive and grandfatherly.&#8217;<\/p>\n<div class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered\"><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-0\" class=\"\" title=\"Twitter Tweet\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/embed\/index.html?dnt=false&amp;embedId=twitter-widget-0&amp;frame=false&amp;hideCard=false&amp;hideThread=false&amp;id=1319480022747336704&amp;lang=en&amp;origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.zerohedge.com%2Fpolitical%2Fswing-voters-saw-trump-controlled-reserved-poised-while-biden-was-vague-unspecific-and&amp;siteScreenName=zerohedge&amp;theme=light&amp;widgetsVersion=ed20a2b%3A1601588405575&amp;width=550px\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-tweet-id=\"1319480022747336704\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>While all participants felt more disheartened after the debate than inspired,\u00a0<strong>all but two said they would vote for Trump,<\/strong>\u00a0with one going for Biden and another saying they might not vote at all.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am leaning more toward Trump now, however I still don&#8217;t feel like I have good answers on the race issues and that&#8217;s a very, very important issue to me in this country right now,&#8221; said one participant.<\/p>\n<div class=\"max-width-video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe id=\"fitvid5448\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Xie2wCbrxGY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;In the mind of the undecided voters, Trump won,&#8221; Luntz told\u00a0<em>CNBC<\/em>&#8216;s &#8220;Squawk Box&#8221; following the debate. &#8220;But he did not win by a significant margin. Only two people said they don&#8217;t care and they are &#8220;annoyed that we&#8217;re wasting time on it,&#8221; according to\u00a0<em>RealClearPolitics<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Luntz said that\u00a0<strong>while Trump won the debate, he&#8217;ll lose the election<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You got to give Trump a minor victory because he\u2019ll bring some [undecided] voters home, and it\u2019ll close the race a little bit. But in the end, I think Joe Biden won the war,&#8221; said the pollster, who said that even if polls are wrong as they were in 2016, it&#8217;s &#8220;virtually impossible&#8221; for Trump to win at this point.<\/p>\n<p>And while three MSM snap polls following the debate found that Biden won,\u00a0<strong>snap polls over Twitter largely favored President Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a
