Instagram Refuses to Remove \u2018Black Art\u2019 Image Showing Severed Heads of White People<\/h1>\n

Social media giant Instagram, which routinely removes \u2018offensive\u2019 content, has refused to remove a \u2018black art\u2019 image depicting the severed heads of white people, arguing that \u201cpeople may express themselves differently.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The image was posted by an account called \u2018supportblackart\u2019 and features two obese black women carrying the severed heads of a white man and a white woman.<\/p>\n

After the image was reported to the Facebook-owned company, it responded by saying the sick artwork didn\u2019t violate their community guidelines.<\/p>\n

In explaining its decision not to remove the image, Instagram stated, \u201cBecause Instagram is a global community, we understand that people may express themselves differently.\u201d<\/p>\n
