Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo<\/strong>\u00a0expressed outrage on Sunday as President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/strong>\u00a0leveled a\u00a0series of baseless allegations<\/a>\u00a0of voter fraud in support of the outlandish conspiracy theory that the election was stolen from him.<\/p>\n Bartiromo, whose network Fox News has called the race for Joe Biden, landed the first interview with Trump since he lost re-election. The lengthy phone conversation, which came as top Republicans prepare for a Biden administration and the Trump administration\u00a0begins the transition<\/a>, focused almost entirely on Trump\u2019s claims that the election was stolen through fraud.<\/p>\n A dizzying series of false claims and conspiracy theories were mounted by Trump and Bartiromo throughout the interview, ranging from allegations that the FBI and Justice Department\u00a0were involved in the stolen election<\/a>\u00a0to claims that the election was\u00a0rigged through voting machines<\/a>.<\/p>\n Trump also repeatedly claimed that Biden could not have won more votes than former President\u00a0Barack Obama<\/strong>, citing this hunch as evidence the election was rigged.<\/p>\n \u201cWe won the election easily. There\u2019s not way Joe Biden got 80 million votes. There\u2019s no way Joe Biden beat Barack Obama in the Black communities of various cities,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThis election was a fraud. It was a rigged election.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is disgusting!\u201d Bartiromo exclaimed in response. \u201cAnd we cannot allow America\u2019s election to be corrupted.\u201d<\/p>\n While many on the news side at Fox have rejected the president\u2019s claims as baseless, Bartiromo has remained a loyal supporter of Trump in the weeks after his loss. The Fox anchor has granted ample air time to conspiracy theories that he won the election, until the race was stolen through mass fraud \u2014 a claim that has been rejected by\u00a0Republican lawmakers<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Trump-appointed judges<\/a>.<\/p>\n
