(AP Photo\/Tony Gutierrez, File)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By Jeffrey Rodack | NEWSMAX<\/p>\n<p>Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed suit on Tuesday against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, claiming the four states exploited the pandemic to justify ignoring election laws.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/admin\/2020\/Press\/SCOTUSFiling.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">papers filed<\/a>\u00a0with the U.S. Supreme Court, Paxton claimed the states unlawfully enacted last-minute changes, which skewed the results of the general election.<\/p>\n<p>The papers also allege that the majority of the rushed decisions, made by local officials, were not approved by the state legislatures, thereby circumventing the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe battleground states flooded their people with unlawful\u00a0ballot applications and ballots while ignoring statutory\u00a0requirements\u00a0as to how they were received, evaluated and counted,\u201d according to\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/ag-paxton-sues-battleground-states-unconstitutional-changes-2020-election-laws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a> posted on the Texas attorney general\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrust in the integrity of our election processes is sacrosanct and binds our citizenry and the States in this union together. Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin\u00a0destroyed that trust and compromised the security and integrity of the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe states violated statutes enacted by their\u00a0duly elected\u00a0legislatures, thereby violating the Constitution.\u00a0By ignoring both state and federal law, these states have not only tainted the integrity of their own citizens\u2019 vote, but of Texas and every other state that held lawful elections,\u201d said Attorney General Paxton. \u201cTheir failure to abide by the rule of law casts\u00a0a dark\u00a0shadow of doubt over the\u00a0outcome\u00a0of the entire election.
