Ashli Babbitt, protester killed at Capitol, was Air Force vet from California<\/h1>\n

The President Trump supporter\u00a0killed in the Capitol building Wednesday<\/a>\u00a0was an Air Force vet from California who tweeted a day earlier how \u201cnothing will stop us\u201d and \u201cthe storm is here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashli Babbitt, who had 14 years in the service and did four tours of duty, was married and lived near San Diego, her husband Aaron\u00a0told KUSI-TV.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m numb. I\u2019m devastated. Nobody from DC notified my son and we found out on TV,\u201d the husband\u2019s mother, Robin Babbitt, told The Post, saying of her daughter-in-law, \u201cShe is a Trump supporter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Everything is \u201cpretty surreal,\u201d added Aaron\u2019s brother, Justin. \u201cIt\u2019s hard, because we haven\u2019t been officially notified.\u201d<\/p>\n

The day before she\u00a0was fatally shot<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 apparently by Capitol Police,\u00a0Babbitt tweeted<\/a>, \u201cNothing will stop us\u2026. they can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours\u2026.dark to light.\u201d<\/p>\n

Babbitt, who used the Twitter handle CommonAshSense,\u00a0also retweeted Wednesday<\/a>\u00a0morning \u2014 a few hours ahead of her and other Trump supporters storming the Capitol \u2014 a \u201cMUST BE DONE LIST before Congress meets today.\u201d<\/p>\n

It included, \u201cMike Pence@vp\u00a0@Mike_Pence must resign & thereafter be charged with TREASON,\u201d and, \u201cChief Justice John Roberts must RESIGN.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rioters were protesting Congress\u2019s impending certification of Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n

Babbitt\u00a0took a fatal bullet to the chest during the mayhem inside the Capitol.<\/p>\n

Video footage captured the sound of the\u00a0gunshot, and showed the woman crumpling to the floor from multiple angles.<\/p>\n

She was apparently shot by Capitol Police, law-enforcement sources told The Post.<\/p>\n

Responding to a tweet<\/a>\u00a0Monday by conservative author Melissa Tate saying, \u201cLanding in DC. Here to do God\u2019s work. Save the Republic,\u201d\u00a0Babbitt responded<\/a>, \u201cI will be there tomorrow! Gods speed!\u201d<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Babbitt retweeted TV footage of a pro-Trump crowd amassing in DC ahead of Wednesday\u2019s riots.<\/p>\n

Babitt\u2019s mother-in-law told a Fox affliate in DC she was puzzled by the behavior of her son\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really don\u2019t know why she decided to do this,\u201d the mother-in-law said, according to\u00a0a reporter\u2019s tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n
