Prosecutors said they \u201caverted a crisis\u201d at the Capitol by arresting 33-year-old Daniel Baker, taking him into custody on a charge involving making a threat to kidnap or injure,<\/strong>\u00a0the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Northern District of Florida\u00a0announced in a news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cBaker issued a call to arms for like-minded individuals to violently confront protestors gathered at the Florida Capitol this Sunday,\u201d prosecutors said. \u201cHe specifically called for others to join him in encircling any protestors and confining them at the Capitol complex using firearms.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Protests and rallies are expected at state Capitols across the country ahead of and on inauguration day in opposition to the election results.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is an armed COUP and can only be stopped by an armed community!\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>Baker wrote in a flyer titled \u201cCall to Arms January 20th\u201d posted online, a criminal complaint against him alleges (pdf<\/a>).<\/p>\n \u201cIf you\u2019re afraid to die fighting the enemy, stay in bed and live,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0he wrote in the flyer, in which he called Trump supporters who plan to\u00a0protest<\/a>\u00a0at the Florida state Capitol \u201cterrorists.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n FBI agents, with assistance from local law enforcement, took Baker into custody without incident.<\/p>\n The Epoch Times has reached out to Baker\u2019s defense attorney for comment on the charges but did not receive a reply by publication.<\/p>\n Baker, a former U.S. Army Airborne infantryman who was kicked out of the service, in 2017 joined the People\u2019s Protection Units, a group fighting in Syria against ISIS and the Turkish government, prosecutors said. People\u2019s Protection Units is a sub-affiliate of the Kurdistan\u2019s Working Party, which is designated by the U.S. government as a \u201cforeign terrorist organization.\u201d<\/p>\n Prosecutors have called Baker a \u201cdangerous extremist,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>with the criminal complaint claiming he wished death to anyone whose ideology was different from his, including U.S. military officers.<\/p>\n \u201cBaker has made multiple violent threats to those he claims are white supremacists, fascists, United States persons with different ideologies than his, and allies of the United States. In addition, Baker has promoted the killing of United States military officers,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>the complaint reads.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Items of concern identified in the investigation against Baker show his \u201cpath toward radicalization as well as a fair probability for imminent violence,\u201d the complaint states.<\/p>\n One of these is a Facebook post attributed to Baker,\u00a0which features the statement,\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t give a [expletive], I\u2019m an anarchist and I want to watch capitalist society burn.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Another item referenced in the complaint is an interview Baker gave for an\u00a0article about<\/a>\u00a0the fall of Seattle\u2019s autonomous zone, in which he\u00a0identified himself as a \u201chardcore leftist\u201d and said he had traveled to Seattle to take part in the \u201cRevolution.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0In the article, he expressed disappointment \u201cin the lack of violent opposition here,\u201d referring to the occupied zone.<\/p>\n \u201cIf they really wanted a revolution, we needed to get AK\u2019s and start making bombs,\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Baker is quoted in the article as saying.<\/p>\n The complaint claims Baker authored a social media post on Oct. 20, 2020, in which he wrote that \u201cI hope the right tries a coup Nov. 3rd cuz I\u2019m so [expletive] down to slay enemies again.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Interestingly,\u00a0TGP reports<\/a>\u00a0that the criminal complaint included Daniel Baker saying he received Soros money and he will be offering cash rewards for information on Trump supporters in his video.<\/p>\n Full Criminal Report below:<\/strong><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/zh-prod-1cc738ca-7d3b-4a72-b792-20bd8d8fa069.storage.googleapis.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/1c50a2b2-83a3-48a5-ac38-21b67a4346d0-flag2.jpg?itok=amXroAUO\")
