(Senate Television via AP)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By Newsmax Wires<\/p>\n<p>Harvard law professor and constitutional law expert Alan Dershowitz said the Senate does not have the jurisdiction to put \u201ccitizen Trump\u201d on trial.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview on Fox News\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/shows\/sunday-morning-futures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cSunday Morning Futures,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Dershowitz argued the impeachment of President Donald Trump is unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no jurisdiction, you\u00a0cannot put citizen trump on trial,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you could do that, it would\u00a0be \u2026 putting\u00a0someone on trial who is not a\u00a0sitting president and \u2026 implications would be\u00a0horrendous,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you can impeach anyone who is\u00a0not a sitting president, there\u00a0are no limits to the power of\u00a0the Congress to try ordinary\u00a0citizens,\u201d he added. \u201cIt&#8217;s plainly unconstitutional\u00a0and the Senate should not\u00a0proceed with this\u00a0unconstitutional act.<\/p>\n<p>Dershowitz also railed at a reported\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jonathanturley.org\/2021\/01\/15\/revoke-their-degrees-harvard-faculty-and-students-seek-revocation-of-degrees-for-trump-officials-and-allies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">campaign at Harvard<\/a> to rescind the degree of Trump officials and allies, including White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Rep.
