The Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals are part of the UK\u2019s National Health Service network.<\/p>\n In a recent bulletin, the hospitals lay out their new policy on \u201cGender Inclusion Language Guidance in Maternity\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cFor us, a gender-additive approach means using gender-neutral language alongside the language of womanhood, in order to ensure that everyone is represented and included.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Apparently the term \u2018breastfeeding\u2019 is now offensive according to our social warlords. And it\u2019s even more offensive to refer to a mother who\u2019s nursing as a \u201cbreastfeeding woman,\u201d because that terminology is not gender-inclusive.<\/p>\n So the hospitals will therefore begin referring to such people as \u201cchestfeeding people\u201d.<\/p>\n The hospital cites precedents set by\u00a0the British Medical Association which \u201crecognises that a large majority of people who get pregnant and give birth are women however some may be trans men or non-binary people.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Therefore, the term \u201cpregnant people\u201d is more politically correct than \u201cexpectant mothers\u201d.<\/p>\n Click here to read the bulletin.<\/a><\/p>\n A recent update<\/a>\u00a0from the Oregon Department of education encourages math teachers to sign up for an online course meant to \u201cDismantle Racism in Mathematics Instruction.\u201d<\/p>\n The course tells math teachers, for example, that\u00a0\u201cWhite supremacy culture shows up in math classrooms when\u2026 [t]he focus is on getting the \u2018right\u2019 answer.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Other white supremacist math practices include tracking students\u2019 progress, and requiring students to meet academic expectations.<\/p>\n Click here to read the material.<\/a><\/p>\n Google now allows Black-owned online retailers to add a label which says a business, \u201cidentifies as black owned.\u201d<\/p>\n However, there does not appear to be any proof required to change your business identity to black-owned.<\/p>\n We wonder whether Google will eventually have to start auditing some entrepreneur\u2019s claims\u2026 or how they\u2019ll set up an adjudication process if someone identifies as Black, but consumers dispute the claim.<\/p>\n In case you\u2019re wondering, Google has no labels for businesses owned by trans, non-binary, Native American, disabled, queer, etc. individuals.<\/strong><\/p>\n Click here to read the full story.<\/a><\/p>\n A Bavarian court fined a German folk singer \u20ac3000 for violating child labor laws.<\/p>\n His crime: allowing his then four year old son to sing a song with him on stage in 2019.<\/p>\n The father and son sang \u201cWhat a Wonderful World\u201d while the rest of the family, and audience, watched. The German government considered this \u201cemploying\u201d the child for the half hour or so he was on stage.<\/p>\n If this had occurred between 8am and 5pm, no crime would have taken place.
