{"id":54743,"date":"2021-03-03T15:13:16","date_gmt":"2021-03-03T19:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=54743"},"modified":"2021-03-03T15:14:52","modified_gmt":"2021-03-03T19:14:52","slug":"eccellente","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=54743","title":{"rendered":"Look at the draconian COVID-1984 measure being implemented in the LA school system."},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Microsoft Creates COVID System to \u2018Scan Children\u2019 in Schools With Unique Barcode<\/h1>\n<p><!--more--><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-54785 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Screen-Shot-2021-03-03-at-2.12.33-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"689\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Screen-Shot-2021-03-03-at-2.12.33-PM.png 689w, https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Screen-Shot-2021-03-03-at-2.12.33-PM-300x179.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 689px) 100vw, 689px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Niamh Harris<br \/>\nNewsPunch<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p><strong>Microsoft has unveiled a creepy new Covid system that scans school children with a unique barcode so they can attend class.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-13 amp-wp-d1954fa\" data-amp-original-style=\"margin: 8px 0; clear: both;\">\n<p>Children in the Los Angeles Unified School District in will have their own unique QR code, or \u201cdaily pass,\u201d that will be scanned by the system.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Students without the barcode will be barred from going into school.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Kids will also be forced to social distance, wear masks, and receive regular temperature checks throughout the day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>In order for students to earn their safe-for-school Daily Pass, they must answer an online questionnaire and test negative for COVID-19 every single week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>NBC Los Angeles\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/coronavirus\/southern-california-coronavirus\/lausd-daily-pass-health-check-system-schools-education\/2532697\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cDaily Pass generates a unique QR code for each student and staff member, and that code authorizes entry to a specific LAUSD location for that day only \u2014 as long as the individual receives a negative test result for COVID, shows no symptoms, and has a temperature under 100 degrees, the district said.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cUpon the individual\u2019s arrival to a campus, their QR code is scanned by a district school-site leader, who takes the individual\u2019s temperature.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>A section on the Daily Pass portal also pressures students and staffers to get vaccinated:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>\u201cAnonymous data from Daily Pass will be used by the Los Angeles Unified\u2019s research and health care collaborators \u2014 Stanford University, UCLA, The Johns Hopkins University, Anthem Blue Cross, Healthnet, and Cedars Sinai \u2014 to provide insights for strategies to create the safest possible school environment,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0the report continues.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/la-unified-school-district-microsoft-covid-19-daily-pass\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reclaimthenet.org<\/a>\u00a0reports: Not only does\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/achieve.lausd.net\/dailypass\">the system<\/a>\u00a0force students in the Los Angeles Unified School District to use this COVID-19 Daily Pass system to gain access to schools but anonymous data from the app will also be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/coronavirus\/southern-california-coronavirus\/lausd-daily-pass-health-check-system-schools-education\/2532697\/\">used by several Los Angeles Unified research and health care collaborators<\/a>\u00a0(Anthem Blue Cross, Cedars Sinai, Healthnet, Stanford University, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), The Johns Hopkins University) to \u201cprovide insights for strategies to create the safest possible school environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The explainer video promoting the app positions it as a solution for kids who are scared of getting sick and opens with a fearful cartoon kid character, Racquel Ramirez, telling her mom: \u201cMom, I\u2019m scared about going back to school. I don\u2019t wanna get sick and I don\u2019t wanna get you and Dad sick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The COVID-19 Daily Pass is then introduced as a solution for \u201csafely going back to school\u201d and Ramirez is shown happily scanning her QR code entrance ticket to gain entry to the school.<\/p>\n<p>The conclusion of the explainer video shows Ramirez finishing her first day back at school with the COVID-19 Daily Pass and telling her Dad: \u201cDad, I have to admit, I was scared at first but then I felt so safe. It was so good to be back. Thanks for keeping me safe.
