this drug could help take control over the novel coronavirus<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"highlight-link font-14\">Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic drug that has been beneficial believe is a panacea for COVID-19.\u00a0<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cThis drug has broad spectrum activity,\u201d they admitted, \u201cand this is why it can be used at the early stage of the disease, trying to prevent the severe disease,\u201d but of course, they said, as they have said from the start, more studies are needed to determine if it actually works. \u201cWe need more clinical trials.\u201d That was their guidance six months ago, that was their guidance six weeks ago, and that is the same horseshit they regurgitated when they finally issued their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news-room\/feature-stories\/detail\/who-advises-that-ivermectin-only-be-used-to-treat-covid-19-within-clinical-trials\">updated guidance<\/a>\u00a0Wednesday, on the heels of some Philippines-specific guidance WHO had issued the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newsinfo.inquirer.net\/1413130\/who-no-strong-enough-data-to-advocate-ivermectin-use-vs-covid-19\">very day before<\/a>, serving to muddy those murky waters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For weeks, health care professionals, ivermectin advocates and early treatment activists had lobbied the organization to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23bebraveWHO&amp;src=typed_query\">#BeBraveWHO<\/a>, but some of those people are now realizing that it was not cowardice driving these acts, but rampant, unchecked corruption. Others take the more generous view that the WHO was only negligent issuing counter-productive guidance from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/lancet\/article\/PIIS0140-6736(20)30630-9\/fulltext\">belated start<\/a>\u00a0of the pandemic, when they\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news-room\/articles-detail\/updated-who-recommendations-for-international-traffic-in-relation-to-covid-19-outbreak\">advised against travel restrictions<\/a>, asserted that there was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/who-no-transmission-coronavirus-tweet-was-to-appease-china-guardian-2020-4\">no evidence for human-to-human transmission<\/a>, insisted there was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/08\/06\/health\/coronavirus-asymptomatic-transmission.html\">no evidence<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mvankerkhove\/status\/1270081494552281094?s=20\">asymptomatic transmission<\/a>\u00a0and that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/docs\/default-source\/coronaviruse\/who-china-joint-mission-on-covid-19-final-report.pdf\">it was rare<\/a>\u00a0before\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5850256\/who-asymptomatic-spread\/\">walking that back<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/goatsandsoda\/2020\/07\/09\/889526937\/who-report-aerosols-not-likely-to-be-significant-source-of-covid-19-transmission\">played dumb<\/a>\u00a0about the implications of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/vietnam\/news\/detail\/14-07-2020-q-a-how-is-covid-19-transmitted\">what \u201caerosolized\u201d means<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WHO\/status\/1243972193169616898\">adamantly<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jvchamary\/2020\/10\/30\/world-health-organization-coronavirus-airborne\/?sh=6597184a3f1c\">denied<\/a>\u00a0that the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5863220\/airborne-coronavirus-transmission\/\">virus is airborne<\/a>, finally\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-health-coronavirus-who-airborne\/who-acknowledges-evidence-emerging-of-airborne-spread-of-covid-19-idUSKBN2482AU\">admitted<\/a>\u00a0the virus\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/07\/07\/health\/coronavirus-aerosols-who.html\">might be<\/a>\u00a0aerosolized and airborne, but couched it in mealy-mouthed, weaselly wording, saying they\u2019re \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/health\/health-news\/who-acknowledges-emerging-evidence-airborne-spread-covid-19-n1233077\">open to \u2019emerging\u2019 evidence on modes of transmission<\/a>,\u201d said that masks \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WHO\/status\/1268927995932225541?s=20\">create a false sense of security<\/a>\u201d and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WHO\/status\/1247192745581690880?s=20\">advised against<\/a>\u00a0their use for the general population before\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/06\/05\/health\/coronavirus-masks-who.html\">recommending in favor<\/a>\u00a0of mass-masking, and demanded that people refrain from even wondering about the origin of the virus aloud, saying that the potential \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/docs\/default-source\/coronaviruse\/covid19-stigma-guide.pdf\">stigma<\/a>\u201d was actually \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Reuters\/status\/1234607092146806784?s=20\">more dangerous than the virus itself<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/docs\/default-source\/coronaviruse\/covid19-stigma-guide.pdf\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16709 size-large\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kB0MEjHgkfM&amp;feature=emb_logo\">pandemic<\/a>\u201d and quietly deleted the definition from their website weeks before declaring a \u201clevel six\u201d pandemic in 2009, explaining, just as the DNC\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nakedcapitalism.com\/2017\/04\/want-know-democratic-party-just-ask-lawyer.html\">asserted in court<\/a>\u00a0that the definition of \u201cimpartial\u201d is too difficult to define, the definition of what a pandemic is is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/bulletin\/volumes\/89\/7\/11-086173\/en\/\">too elusive<\/a>\u201d to have nailed down, then backtracked and said actually,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/bulletin\/volumes\/89\/7\/11-088815\/en\/\">it\u2019s not \u201ctoo elusive,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0but by classical definitions, the pandemic they declared after revising the definition of pandemic was already a classic pandemic anyway, so the controversy was beside the point. They\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/covidcandy.net\/treatments-and-cures\/treatments\/artemisia-annua\/\">reportedly<\/a>\u00a0tried to bribe Madagascar to poison their artemesia and Vitamin C \u201cCOVID Organics,\u201d then settled for bribing them to shut up about it instead,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UlCYFh8U2xM\">refused<\/a>\u00a0to address any questions about Taiwan and when pressed, aborted the call, made a policy of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2020\/nov\/13\/who-drops-censorship-of-words-taiwan-and-china-on-social-media-after-backlash\">censoring any reference<\/a>\u00a0to China or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/in-brief\/why-does-who-exclude-taiwan\">Taiwan<\/a>\u00a0on their Facebook page, quietly revised the definitions of the words \u201cpandemic\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aier.org\/article\/who-deletes-naturally-acquired-immunity-from-its-website\/\">herd immunity<\/a>,\u201d have participated in the ongoing suppression of everything shown to be effective in treating and preventing COVID-19, and appear to have worked with the CCP to clear their name with a cursory \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2021\/03\/29\/wuhan-covid-lab-accident-investigation-who\/\">investigation<\/a>\u201d into the origin of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/covidcandy.net\/coronavirus\/bioweapon\/\">bioweapon<\/a>\u00a0that basically concluded \u201cno harm, no foul, nothing to see at Wuhan lab.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>MORE CLINICAL TRIALS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED<\/h2>\n<p>In the six weeks since they promised updated guidance on ivermectin to thousands of petitioners demanding to know why the drug has been excluded from the standard of care and exiled from even compassionate use, or at any point over the last year, the WHO could have conducted several trials to evaluate ivermectin\u2019s efficacy, if they truly had any questions about it, and cared. But they didn\u2019t. Instead, they cherry-picked sixteen studies of many that exist, compiled the results of these studies into their own meta-analysis, and instructed an \u201c<span class=\"highlighter-ext\">independent,<\/span><span class=\"highlighter-ext\">\u00a0international panel of experts<\/span><span class=\"highlighter-ext\">, which includes clinical care experts in multiple specialties\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"highlighter-ext\">and also an ethicis<\/span><span class=\"highlighter-ext\">t<\/span>\u201d to evaluate the data, with a specific focus on the drug\u2019s impact on mortality, arriving at an opaque \u201cconsensus\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/trialsitenews.com\/who-reaches-ivermectin-recommendation-without-a-vote\/?utm_source=Contextly&amp;utm_medium=ChannelEmail&amp;utm_campaign=Ivermectin&amp;utm_content=Notification\">without so much as a vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This anonymous panel decided that \u201cevidence was rated as very low certainty primarily because of very serious imprecision for most outcomes: the aggregate data had wide confidence intervals and\/or very few events. There were also serious concerns related to risk of bias for some outcomes, specifically lack of blinding, lack of trial pre-registration, and lack of outcome reporting for one trial that did not report mechanical ventilation despite pre-specifying it in their protocol (publication bias).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of these sixteen studies they cherry-picked to evaluate, they decided that all of them were unreliable, because each had too small a sample size, and because each seemed to corroborate the results of the other, they must all have been biased. Can we just stop and consider the ethics of that for a second? This is justified by giving the control arm the \u201cstandard of care,\u201d which, ostensibly, is what any random schlub off the street might be given in any random hospital if they wandered in with a case of COVID: nothing that will help their condition improve. To this day, many hospitals are still treating COVID victims with Remdesivir, which doesn\u2019t work, and in worst cases, a ventilator, which can do more harm than good, and often leaves victims traumatized and injured.<\/p>\n<h4>FALSE:\u00a0OFF-LABEL DRUGS SHOULD NOT BE USED TO TREAT COVID<\/h4>\n<p>Doctors use off-label drugs to treat their patients\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/covidcandy\/status\/1374593204780101634?s=20\">every single day<\/a>. The sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship has been central to modern Western medicine since its inception, and \u201ccompassionate use\u201d allows doctors to prescribe \u201clong-shot\u201d therapies when there is no standard of care available. When it comes to COVID-19, the standard of care in Western nations is abominable.<\/p>\n<p>There are some off-label drugs that are condoned in treating COVID in the ICU: some steroids, some antibody therapies, blood thinners, and a few random name-brand drugs that don\u2019t do anything, but early treatment with off-label drugs, and even common sense \u201ctake some vitamins\u201d wisdom has been lampooned as quackery.
