Edwards\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/60VGiW0cXDc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>TRANSCRIPT (Dr. Ben Edwards speaking before Senate Committee on State of Affairs)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/60VGiW0cXDc\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/youtu.be\/60VGiW0cXDc&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1621260478323000&amp;usg=AFQjCNH6JyOg3tC3cxZujK-cSMPeb3sJ5Q\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/60VGiW0cXDc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ben Edwards<\/p>\n<p>00:30<\/p>\n<p>trained as a family physician did my<\/p>\n<p>00:32<\/p>\n<p>undergrad at baylor<\/p>\n<p>00:33<\/p>\n<p>ut houston medical school and then waco<\/p>\n<p>00:36<\/p>\n<p>for family practice residency training<\/p>\n<p>00:37<\/p>\n<p>where i was chief resident.<\/p>\n<p>00:39<\/p>\n<p>i spent the first seven years in private<\/p>\n<p>00:41<\/p>\n<p>practice at garcia county health clinic<\/p>\n<p>00:43<\/p>\n<p>in post texas is the only physician in<\/p>\n<p>00:44<\/p>\n<p>the county.<\/p>\n<p>00:46<\/p>\n<p>the last seven years eight years i&#8217;ve<\/p>\n<p>00:48<\/p>\n<p>had my own practice veritas medicals<\/p>\n<p>00:50<\/p>\n<p>in lubbock abilene and san angelo we<\/p>\n<p>00:52<\/p>\n<p>have offices.<\/p>\n<p>00:54<\/p>\n<p>thank you for the opportunity to testify<\/p>\n<p>00:56<\/p>\n<p>Today.<\/p>\n<p>00:59<\/p>\n<p>i&#8217;d like to begin with a reminder to<\/p>\n<p>01:01<\/p>\n<p>everyone about the definition of<\/p>\n<p>01:02<\/p>\n<p>evidence-based<\/p>\n<p>01:03<\/p>\n<p>medicine that sackett strauss<\/p>\n<p>01:06<\/p>\n<p>at all laid out back in 2000<\/p>\n<p>01:10<\/p>\n<p>they stated that the elements of<\/p>\n<p>01:11<\/p>\n<p>evidence-based practice are<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>the integration of best research<\/p>\n<p>evidence with clinical expertise<\/p>\n<p>and patient values.<\/p>\n<p>Patient values trump clinical expertise and clinical expertise trumps scientific evidence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>01:29<\/p>\n<p>i&#8217;m also concerned that the forced and<\/p>\n<p>01:31<\/p>\n<p>coerced covid 19 vaccinations would<\/p>\n<p>01:33<\/p>\n<p>in my opinion be a violation of the<\/p>\n<p>01:35<\/p>\n<p>nuremberg code<\/p>\n<p>01:37<\/p>\n<p>the u.n international covenant on civil<\/p>\n<p>01:38<\/p>\n<p>and political rights article 7<\/p>\n<p>01:41<\/p>\n<p>the u.n universal declaration of human<\/p>\n<p>01:43<\/p>\n<p>rights article 3<\/p>\n<p>01:44<\/p>\n<p>and unesco&#8217;s article 6 of the universal<\/p>\n<p>01:47<\/p>\n<p>declaration of bioethics and human<\/p>\n<p>01:50<\/p>\n<p>Rights.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>in addition<\/p>\n<p>01:53<\/p>\n<p>i have some concerns similar to what<\/p>\n<p>01:55<\/p>\n<p>senator hall<\/p>\n<p>01:56<\/p>\n<p>already mentioned according to the cdc&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>02:00<\/p>\n<p>vaccine adverse event reporting system<\/p>\n<p>02:02<\/p>\n<p>which i have some updated numbers from,<\/p>\n<p>02:03<\/p>\n<p>last night when i downloaded these<\/p>\n<p><strong>4178 deaths are now being reported<\/strong> on VAERS.<\/p>\n<p>To give some context, over the past 20 years all vaccinations combined there was a reported 4182 deaths.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the past four months we&#8217;re now sitting at 4178 deaths associated with the covid vaccine reported to VAERS.<\/p>\n<p>This includes<\/p>\n<p>a 15 year old boy in colorado two 16<\/p>\n<p>year old girls in wisconsin<\/p>\n<p>17 year old girl in wisconsin and a 17<\/p>\n<p>year old boy<\/p>\n<p>all healthy. he was in new hampshire<\/p>\n<p>the evidence is pretty clear that VAERS<\/p>\n<p>grossly underestimates<\/p>\n<p>the adverse events that are reported. a<\/p>\n<p>study commissioned<\/p>\n<p>by the department of health and human<\/p>\n<p>services this is in 2010<\/p>\n<p>and harvard carried out this study and<\/p>\n<p>The conclusion was<\/p>\n<p>only about 1% of adverse<\/p>\n<p>reactions are ever reported to VAERS.<\/p>\n<p>03:01<\/p>\n<p>a similar study in 2015 by shimbukru at<\/p>\n<p>03:04<\/p>\n<p>all<\/p>\n<p>03:04<\/p>\n<p>came to a similar conclusion a 1995<\/p>\n<p>03:07<\/p>\n<p>report by cdc<\/p>\n<p>03:08<\/p>\n<p>also found that certain adverse<\/p>\n<p>03:11<\/p>\n<p>reactions to vaccines are reported about<\/p>\n<p>03:13<\/p>\n<p>one percent of the time.<\/p>\n<p>03:15<\/p>\n<p>Even the vaccine manufacturers themselves have estimated a 50-fold under-reporting of adverse reactions.<\/p>\n<p>So, i&#8217;ve grave concern<\/p>\n<p>03:22<\/p>\n<p>about the under-reporting of these<\/p>\n<p>03:24<\/p>\n<p>adverse reactions to VAERS<\/p>\n<p>03:26<\/p>\n<p>and even at that we&#8217;re over 4 000 now in<\/p>\n<p>03:29<\/p>\n<p>deaths to give you some context.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Senator Hall already mentioned the 1976 swine flu epidemic. After recording 500 cases of paralysis and 53 deaths the vaccine was pulled off the market.<\/p>\n<p>03:42<\/p>\n<p>personally i&#8217;ve received numerous<\/p>\n<p>03:44<\/p>\n<p>reports from family<\/p>\n<p>03:46<\/p>\n<p>members of my patients close friends to<\/p>\n<p>03:48<\/p>\n<p>my patients that within hours<\/p>\n<p>03:50<\/p>\n<p>and to days of receiving the vaccine<\/p>\n<p>03:51<\/p>\n<p>they&#8217;ve suffered from stroke heart<\/p>\n<p>03:53<\/p>\n<p>attack<\/p>\n<p>03:53<\/p>\n<p>pulmonary embolism blood clots sudden<\/p>\n<p>03:55<\/p>\n<p>death and as far as these family members<\/p>\n<p>03:57<\/p>\n<p>knew none of these were reported by the<\/p>\n<p>03:59<\/p>\n<p>medical staff as being associated with<\/p>\n<p>04:00<\/p>\n<p>the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>04:02<\/p>\n<p>so my concern is there is indeed a vast<\/p>\n<p>04:05<\/p>\n<p>under reporting<\/p>\n<p>04:10<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lastly i would say that of harvey rich&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>data that 53 percent of<\/p>\n<p>of texans are have natural immunity<\/p>\n<p>studies have shown a two to three fold<\/p>\n<p>increased risk of adverse reaction to<\/p>\n<p>this vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve already had covid, natural immunity infers a more robust immunity than vaccine immunity could but vaccinating someone who&#8217;s already robustly immune increases their risk of adverse reaction 2 to 3 fold. Two different studies that show that.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m very much a proponent of preserving the individual doctor-patient relationship. It&#8217;s a sacred relationship and and I believe nothing should come between that and ultimately it&#8217;s up to the patient to decide how they want to treat their body.<\/p>\n<p>On a personal note, I believe God gave us an amazing robust immune system and I don&#8217;t think you can improve on God. Not everyone obviously has to agree with<\/p>\n<p>that but for those who do, and choose to rely on that natural immunity, I think we need to uphold that right to do so without any adverse outcomes on their<\/p>\n<p>livelihood. Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Q and A<\/p>\n<p>senator allen i do have a couple of<\/p>\n<p>05:35<\/p>\n<p>questions for you.<\/p>\n<p>05:36<\/p>\n<p>do people with natural<\/p>\n<p>05:39<\/p>\n<p>immunity to covid<\/p>\n<p>05:40<\/p>\n<p>need a vaccine and is there any<\/p>\n<p>05:42<\/p>\n<p>increased risk of the<\/p>\n<p>05:44<\/p>\n<p>natural immune system individual visuals<\/p>\n<p>05:46<\/p>\n<p>having an adverse reaction to the<\/p>\n<p>05:48<\/p>\n<p>vaccine<\/p>\n<p>05:50<\/p>\n<p>natural immunity is more robust than<\/p>\n<p>05:52<\/p>\n<p>vaccine immunity<\/p>\n<p>05:54<\/p>\n<p>there&#8217;s a study from the original sars<\/p>\n<p>05:56<\/p>\n<p>back in 2002<\/p>\n<p>05:58<\/p>\n<p>the people that survived that first sars<\/p>\n<p>06:00<\/p>\n<p>they&#8217;ve looked at them 17 years later<\/p>\n<p>06:02<\/p>\n<p>and they<\/p>\n<p>06:02<\/p>\n<p>this they showed a robust immunity still<\/p>\n<p>06:05<\/p>\n<p>to sarge kobe<\/p>\n<p>06:06<\/p>\n<p>one 17 years later historically we&#8217;ve<\/p>\n<p>06:10<\/p>\n<p>already<\/p>\n<p>06:11<\/p>\n<p>we&#8217;ve always known that natural immunity<\/p>\n<p>06:13<\/p>\n<p>tends to last a lifetime<\/p>\n<p>06:14<\/p>\n<p>i.e the measles natural immunity will<\/p>\n<p>06:16<\/p>\n<p>last a lifetime<\/p>\n<p>06:18<\/p>\n<p>so no i don&#8217;t believe there&#8217;s any need<\/p>\n<p>06:20<\/p>\n<p>to vaccinate someone who&#8217;s already<\/p>\n<p>06:22<\/p>\n<p>acquired natural immunity and we need to<\/p>\n<p>06:24<\/p>\n<p>remember natural immunity is more than<\/p>\n<p>06:25<\/p>\n<p>just antibodies you have t cells natural<\/p>\n<p>06:27<\/p>\n<p>killer cells you&#8217;ve got<\/p>\n<p>06:28<\/p>\n<p>the innate immune response you&#8217;ve got a<\/p>\n<p>06:30<\/p>\n<p>robust immune system<\/p>\n<p>06:32<\/p>\n<p>not just antibodies and to the second<\/p>\n<p>06:35<\/p>\n<p>part<\/p>\n<p>06:35<\/p>\n<p>reiterating that if you&#8217;ve already had<\/p>\n<p>06:37<\/p>\n<p>coveted naturally and some of these will<\/p>\n<p>06:39<\/p>\n<p>be asymptomatic people and some people<\/p>\n<p>06:41<\/p>\n<p>won&#8217;t have a positive antibody test<\/p>\n<p>06:42<\/p>\n<p>because their t cells were strong enough<\/p>\n<p>06:44<\/p>\n<p>they didn&#8217;t need to mount an antibody<\/p>\n<p>06:45<\/p>\n<p>response so you can&#8217;t catch all these<\/p>\n<p>06:47<\/p>\n<p>guys with an antibody screen<\/p>\n<p>06:49<\/p>\n<p>but if you&#8217;ve had natural immunity over<\/p>\n<p>06:50<\/p>\n<p>50 percent of texans have<\/p>\n<p>06:52<\/p>\n<p>then you&#8217;re at a two to three fold<\/p>\n<p>06:53<\/p>\n<p>increased risk of adverse reaction<\/p>\n<p>06:55<\/p>\n<p>if you get vaccinated<\/p>\n<p>06:59<\/p>\n<p>can people do anything about their<\/p>\n<p>07:02<\/p>\n<p>immune system<\/p>\n<p>07:03<\/p>\n<p>absolutely thank you for asking senator<\/p>\n<p>07:06<\/p>\n<p>hall<\/p>\n<p>07:07<\/p>\n<p>i transitioned from conventional family<\/p>\n<p>07:09<\/p>\n<p>practice medicine to integrative<\/p>\n<p>07:10<\/p>\n<p>medicine integrating<\/p>\n<p>07:12<\/p>\n<p>our god-given natural ability for the<\/p>\n<p>07:14<\/p>\n<p>body to fix itself and it&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>07:16<\/p>\n<p>clear in the literature that if we<\/p>\n<p>07:18<\/p>\n<p>steward this god-given design<\/p>\n<p>07:20<\/p>\n<p>through nutrition proper nutrition<\/p>\n<p>07:22<\/p>\n<p>hydration exercise<\/p>\n<p>07:24<\/p>\n<p>sunlight most importantly peace not fear<\/p>\n<p>07:27<\/p>\n<p>fear has overcome this nation<\/p>\n<p>07:29<\/p>\n<p>the spirit of fear that i don&#8217;t submit<\/p>\n<p>07:31<\/p>\n<p>to is overcome this<\/p>\n<p>07:32<\/p>\n<p>nation in my opinion and if that&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>07:34<\/p>\n<p>influencing politics<\/p>\n<p>07:35<\/p>\n<p>policy decisions i don&#8217;t i don&#8217;t want to<\/p>\n<p>07:38<\/p>\n<p>have to be subjected to those policies<\/p>\n<p>07:41<\/p>\n<p>so yes there&#8217;s much that you can do to<\/p>\n<p>07:43<\/p>\n<p>improve your immune system<\/p>\n<p>07:45<\/p>\n<p>and it sounds too simple but it&#8217;s true<\/p>\n<p>07:47<\/p>\n<p>eat god food not man food<\/p>\n<p>07:48<\/p>\n<p>exercise get some sunlight move around a<\/p>\n<p>07:50<\/p>\n<p>little bit and most importantly be at<\/p>\n<p>07:52<\/p>\n<p>peace your immune system will do
