It\u2019s not too late.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>After a massive wave of backlash for the letter, Druckman told Channel 12 he \u201cwould not have imagined that \u2018every effort\u2019 means doing something violent. Anyone who knows me knows that\u2019s not what I meant.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>Yamina head Naftali Bennett criticized Netanyahu for telling his supporters \u201cnot to be afraid to stick it to them.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>\u201c\u2018Stick it to them\u2019 is to harass an MK in her car and her kids on their way from school,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s getting people fired up. It\u2019s swearing and threatening. Not all opposition to the government is incitement. In my years in politics, I\u2019ve learned that leaders must be able to handle criticism. But there is a fine line between criticism and worrisome behavior.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>\u201cOver the last several weeks there has been a well-funded, managed campaign to pressure Yamina and New Hope MKs and break them, to get them to vote against a new government. In this effort, all means are kosher.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>This comes as the Knesset\u2019s sergeant at arms said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/nir-orbach-idit-silman-to-get-security-guards-amid-continued-threats-670241?_ga=2.72341009.389440519.1616962130-322123844.1568527356\">Yamina MKs Nir Orbach and Idit Silman would be receiving security details<\/a>\u00a0amid a wave of threats they have been receiving. Orbach and Silman reportedly have been teetering between voting against or in support of the coalition led by Bennett and Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>Yamina MK Ayelet Shaked has also been assigned a security detail, and since last week the Shin Bet has provided Bennett with prime-ministerial-level security detail.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>Silman announced she would be supporting the \u201cchange bloc\u201d in forming a coalition with center and left-wing parties. Orbach has yet to formally announce his decision.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>Following the tense back-and-forth on incitement, Likud MK May Golan was criticized on Sunday for comparing Bennett and New Hope head Gideon Sa\u2019ar to suicide bombers while speaking to the Knesset Channel.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>\u201cNaftali Bennett and Gideon Sa\u2019ar have nowhere else to go,\u201d she said. \u201cI compare them to suicide bombers. The Shin Bet head can continue saying whatever he wants. They are like terrorists who don\u2019t believe in anything anymore. They go out to their suicide mission, and even if they know they have a death sentence, they don\u2019t care.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee is scheduled to meet on Monday morning to discuss the issue of incitement and extremism in the public sphere amid Argaman\u2019s warning. The committee, headed by MK Orna Barbivai (Yesh Atid), will discuss the upcoming flag parade, which is an additional security concern.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>The parade passes through the Old City of Jerusalem and takes place every year on Jerusalem Day. It was interrupted last month by clashes between police and Arab-Israelis, and by the onset of war with Hamas. The organizers postponed it until Thursday.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>Defense Minister Benny Gantz held a briefing on Sunday to discuss the flag parade amid warnings by both Israeli politicians and Hamas against allowing the event to take place, especially so shortly after the Hamas war.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>Prominent Likud leaders spoke out against incitement on either side of the political spectrum.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI join the calls of Shin Bet head Nadav Argaman, who warns of \u2018[incitement] that may harm human life,\u2019\u201d Finance Minister Israel Katz said. \u201cYou can have a sharp argument without crossing dangerous lines.
