Giuliani\u2019s law license suspended in New York over claims about Trump, 2020 election<\/h1>\n

One example given for Giuliani\u2019s suspension is a claim that\u00a0\u201cdead people \u2018voted\u2019 in Pennsylvania,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0one of multiple states where the lawyer and former city mayor argued false ballots were pushed through in favor of Joe Biden.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the anecdotal poster child to prove this point, he repeatedly stated that famous heavyweight boxer Joe Frazier continued to vote years after he was dead and stated on November 7, 2020 \u2018he is still voting here,\u2019\u201d<\/em>\u00a0the order said of Giuliani\u2019s claim, adding that his Frazier comment was\u00a0\u201cunequivocally false.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe conclude that [the] respondent\u2019s conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law, pending further proceedings before the Attorney Grievance Committee,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0the new order states.<\/p>\n

Giuliani\u2019s critics, including anti-Trump lawmakers, have celebrated the former mayor\u2019s suspension since it was announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n
