Then, on Monday afternoon, it was another story altogether, with flash rains flooding the city and causing traffic gridlock.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article__text text \">\n<div class=\"rtcode\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"telegram-post-rt_russian-69774\" src=\"https:\/\/t.me\/rt_russian\/69774?embed=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>One of the capital\u2019s main thoroughfares, Vernadsky Avenue, was turned into a lake, and became impassable by car.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rtcode\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"telegram-post-mosnow-14689\" src=\"https:\/\/t.me\/mosnow\/14689?embed=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>At Yasenevo Metro Station, in the south of the city, water poured down the steps, flooding the concourse.
