Now they\u2019re trying to recreate it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"rumble\" src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embed\/vjxljl\/?pub=4\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>*\u00a0 *\u00a0 *<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/capitol-police-ask-national-guard-to-provide-support-ahead-of-sept-18-justice-for-j6-rally_4000239.html?utm_source=partner&amp;utm_campaign=ZeroHedge\"><em>As The Epoch Times&#8217; Katabella Roberts detailed earlier,<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>the U.S.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-capitol\">Capitol<\/a>\u00a0Police (USCP) have asked the\u00a0Department of Defense (DOD) to provide support from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-national-guard\">National Guard<\/a>\u00a0ahead of a\u00a0demonstration planned for Sept. 18,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CapitolPolice\/status\/1438241067913068552\">USCP said<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/Capitol-1230536583-700x420.jpg?itok=onppL5yK\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/Capitol-1230536583-700x420.jpg?itok=onppL5yK\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/Capitol-1230536583-700x420.jpg?itok=onppL5yK\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"919142cd-70dd-439c-b523-f17bb9c6bace\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Officials did not provide details on the\u00a0potential number of National Guard troops that could be deployed, however Pentagon press secretary\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/Newsroom\/Transcripts\/Transcript\/Article\/2776276\/pentagon-press-secretary-john-f-kirby-holds-a-press-briefing\/\">John Kirby told reporters<\/a>\u00a0Wednesday that\u00a0\u201cit is not an exorbitant ask,\u201d adding that \u201cit\u2019s not of a particularly large size or major capability. I think it\u2019s more in the form of some manpower support.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cWe have received a request from Capitol Police for some assistance for this weekend\u2019s protests, scheduled protests. I\u2019m not going to detail the specific request,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>Kirby said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re doing the analysis, we are in receipt of it, we\u2019re analyzing it, and if it can be validated and supported, we\u2019ll do that and we\u2019ll look at the sourcing inside the department as to what\u2019s most appropriate.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It comes as organizers expect hundreds of people to attend the \u201cJustice for J6\u201d event on Saturday, which is expected to take place in Union Square between 1st and 3rd streets at 12 p.m.,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lookaheadamerica.org\/rally\/\">according to the group\u2019s website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-rally\">rally<\/a>\u00a0is being organized by\u00a0Look Ahead America, a nonprofit group that is seeking to release hundreds of people who were charged in the Jan. 6 Capitol incident.<\/p>\n<p>It could prove to be the largest gathering since then.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Over 600 people have been charged with a range of crimes, from\u00a0misdemeanors to\u00a0serious felony charges including assault, obstruction of an official proceeding, or conspiracy, for their alleged actions in early January at the U.S. Capitol, when protesters and rioters breached the building, interrupting a joint session of Congress.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/GettyImages-1230505134-600x395.jpg?itok=pBwWQuAo\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/GettyImages-1230505134-600x395.jpg?itok=pBwWQuAo\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/GettyImages-1230505134-600x395.jpg?itok=pBwWQuAo\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"329\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"32943dda-4362-4794-ab2a-69af0f818ea9\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Protesters walk around in the Rotunda after breaching the U.S. Capitol in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021.
