NYC Judge Prevents Father From Visiting His Daughter Unless He Gets Vaccinated<\/h1>\n

A judge in New York City has blocked a father\u2019s right to see his three-year-old daughter unless he agrees to take the COVID-19 vaccine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, really.<\/p>\n

In early September, Evan Schein, an attorney acting on behalf of the mother in the couple\u2019s divorce case (the family has not been named), raised concerns about the father\u2019s vaccination status, leading high profile judge Judge Matthew Cooper to suspend his visitation rights until he received the jab.<\/p>\n

According to Cooper, the father needs to submit to the shot because it has become a prerequisite \u201cto participate meaningfully in everyday society.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe dangers of voluntarily remaining unvaccinated during access with a child while the COVID-19 virus remains a threat to children\u2019s health and safety cannot be understated,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>said the judge.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, and to my mind, incomprehensibly, a sizable minority, seizing upon misinformation, conspiracy theories, and muddled notions of \u2018individual liberty,\u2019 have refused all entreaties to be vaccinated,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0he added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The father\u2019s only other option is to pay for expensive PCR tests every week in addition to taking a biweekly antigen test within 24 hours of his every other weekend visits.<\/p>\n

The ruling was praised by the mother\u2019s attorney,<\/strong>\u00a0who called it \u201can incredibly important one that highlights the extraordinary times we are living in and reinforces that a child\u2019s best interests are paramount.\u201d<\/p>\n
