{"id":91093,"date":"2021-10-18T09:40:04","date_gmt":"2021-10-18T13:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=91093"},"modified":"2021-10-18T09:40:04","modified_gmt":"2021-10-18T13:40:04","slug":"only-22-countries-have-never-been-invaded-by-britain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=91093","title":{"rendered":"Only 22 Countries Have Never Been Invaded By Britain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->ZeroHedge.com<\/p>\n<p>Even though the\u00a0<strong>British Empire only managed to establish its first colony in Ireland in 1556<\/strong>, several decades after Portugal and Spain claimed land on the African continent and the Americas,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/3441\/countries-never-invaded-by-britain\/\">\u00a0Statista&#8217;s Florian Zandt points out\u00a0<\/a>that it still\u00a0<strong>became synonymous with global conflict due to its network of dominions and colonies spanning the whole globe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As the first chart from Statista&#8217;s new content series InFact shows, although certainly not all of them became its subjects,\u00a0<strong>Britain&#8217;s warfaring efforts only spared precious few countries in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the book &#8220;All the Countries We\u2019ve Ever Invaded: And the Few We Never Got Round To&#8221;,\u00a0<strong>there are only 22 countries\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/topics\/755\/uk\/\">Britain\u00a0<\/a>never invaded throughout history<\/strong>.
