(Natural News<\/a>) Former Sheriff Richard Mack of Graham County, Arizona and Sheriff Scott Williams of Coryell County, Texas believe sheriffs who swear to uphold the Constitution must lead the way and\u00a0help the rest of America \u201cwake up\u201d to\u00a0the tyranny of the federal government\u2019s overreach<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mack and Williams made these comments during the Nov. 2 episode of \u201cThe Sheriff Mack Show\u201d on\u00a0Brighteon.TV<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n Back in February, Williams attended a meeting of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA), an organization of law enforcement officers dedicated to upholding the Constitution and defending their constituents against federal encroachment. The sheriff said attending meetings with the CSPOA \u201clit a fire\u201d in him that he can\u2019t put out.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you posed the questions to me, \u2018Do you take your oath seriously? What are you doing to protect people\u2019s Constitutional rights? What are you doing to protect their God-given rights?’\u201d said Williams. \u201cI\u2019ve never had a feeling like that. And that was in February. And I have lived and breathed it every day.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re almost talking like you went through a conversion process,\u201d said Mack.<\/p>\n \u201cConversion? I would say, a reassuring process. A clarifying process. It woke me up,\u201d answered Williams.<\/p>\n Both Williams and Mack believe that all sheriffs and other law enforcement officers should know the Constitution by heart, especially if they have taken an oath to uphold it.<\/p>\n \u201cI have always maintained\u00a0that\u00a0if you\u2019re going to swear an oath of allegiance to something, you probably ought to know why you took that oath,\u201d said Mack. \u201cBut it also presupposes that we\u2019re going to actually keep our word. There\u2019s no way you can keep an oath to something that you\u2019ve never read or studied and you\u2019re completely ignorant of.\u201d<\/p>\n Mack pointed out that everyone who attended the CSPOA\u2019s conference in February, including Williams, has been busy studying the Constitution. \u201cBecause they know and understand the significance of the oath of office, and that everything really generates from that oath,\u201d said Mack.<\/p>\n As law enforcement officers, Mack and Williams believe that they need to lead the way to help America wake up and resist the encroachment of the federal government.<\/p>\n \u201cWe the people\u00a0have got to wake up<\/a>\u00a0as well and work with our sheriffs and find a peaceful and effective solution to what\u2019s going on today in our country,\u201d said Mack. \u201cWe have never seen in our world history \u2013 especially in our nation\u2019s history \u2013 a greater threat to our God-given Constitutional American liberty than we are now from our own federal government.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cConstitutional sheriffs\u201d like Mack and Williams, as they are now known by mainstream media outlets, have become\u00a0a powerful force<\/a>\u00a0defending Americans against government overreach.<\/p>\n Sheriffs who have embraced this new ideology have now declared their intention to refuse to enforce mask mandates. They are even planning to resist President Joe Biden and the federal government\u2019s impending rule that all businesses with 100 or more employees must have fully vaccinated employees or force them to submit to weekly COVID-19 testing. (Related:\u00a0Sheriffs all over the US say they will not enforce Biden\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine mandate<\/a>.)<\/p>\n \u201cWe will not become\u00a0the mandate police<\/a>,\u201d declared Knox County, Tennessee Sheriff Tom Spangler. He made the same declaration in an Oct. 25 letter to Biden that called the vaccine mandate \u201cgovernment overreach\u201d and \u201cunconstitutional.\u201d<\/p>\n Many more sheriffs all over the country are declaring their allegiance to the Constitution first.<\/p>\n Sheriffs Mack and Williams have a lot more to say about sheriffs and other law enforcement officers upholding the Constitution.
