{"id":967,"date":"2019-12-07T18:11:49","date_gmt":"2019-12-07T18:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=967"},"modified":"2019-12-07T18:11:49","modified_gmt":"2019-12-07T18:11:49","slug":"gladio-spate-of-terrorist-attacks-on-military-bases-carried-out-to-create-chaos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=967","title":{"rendered":"GLADIO: Spate of Terrorist Attacks on Military Bases Carried Out to Create Chaos"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Pearl Harbor shooting leaves 3 dead, including sailor gunman<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->By: Navy Times staff<\/p>\n<h3>Gunman kills two and himself in Pearl Harbor shooting<\/h3>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">A Wednesday shooting at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard left at least two victims dead and another injured before the gunman took his own life, military and medical officials told Navy Times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnic.navy.mil\/regions\/cnrh\/about\/biographies\/rear_admiral_robert_b_chadwick.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rear Adm. Robert B. Chadwick II<\/a>, commander of Navy Region Hawaii, said that the shooting spree occurred near the Los Angeles-class attack submarine Columbia, which was undergoing repairs while in dry dock, and the suspected gunman was a Navy sailor assigned to the boat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnic.navy.mil\/regions\/cnrh\/installations\/jb_pearl_harbor_hickam.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam<\/a>\u00a0officials previously told Navy Times that he was reported to have gunned down three Department of Defense civilian workers near the shipyard\u2019s Dry Dock 2 around 2:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time) before taking his own life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Navy Times has been unable to independently confirm from area hospitals if all three victims were shot or suffered other injuries connected to the gunfire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Although one patient reportedly was transported to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamc.amedd.army.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tripler Army Medical Center<\/a>, for example, public affairs officers there said they were not allowed to discuss anything related to the shooting and referred reporters to Navy officials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The media team at Pali Momi Medical Center confirmed that a patient was transported there but could give no update on his or her condition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.queens.org\/the-queens-medical-center\/queens-medical-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Queens Medical Center\u00a0<\/a>spokesman Cedric Yamanaka told Navy Times that one male passenger was transported to the Honolulu hospital. (Caleb Jones\/AP)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Officials at Naval Sea Systems Command, which oversees\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.navsea.navy.mil\/Home\/Shipyards\/PHNS-IMF\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility<\/a>, referred all questions about the incident to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam authorities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">It\u2019s the nation\u2019s largest fleet repair and maintenance facility between the west coast of the United States and Japan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">A probe into the shooting is being conducted by Naval Criminal Investigative Services and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam security forces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Names of both the apparent shooter and the three victims are being withheld until their next of kin can be notified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">In a prepared statement, Hawaii Gov. David Ige said that the White House reached out to offer assistance from federal agencies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The governor added that his state authorities also are &#8220;standing by to assist where necessary\u201d if Pearl Harbor asks for help.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Base officials will keep the Emergency Family Assistance Center open until further notice. It\u2019s located at 4827 Bougainville Drive (same building as the Personnel Support Detachment).
