Biden’s “Ministry of Truth!”

As if things weren’t bad enough, President Biden has reached way down into the bag of Orwellian tricks to come up with his version of The Ministry of Truth:

This regrettable and highly dangerous thrust into greater government intrusion into our liberties marks another sordid chapter in America’s history of abridging the 1st Amendment.
Irrational fear regarding “disinformation” in an effort to impose the official government narrative on everyone is exactly what the Founders knew to be the problem stemming from censorship.
Nothing is more sacred to the basic notion of American Democracy than the right of free speech. There is no viable claim to legitimacy if dissent is arbitrarily restricted.
Those posing as censors and the arbiters of truth are walking on shaky ground. This is not about truth or hate speech or disinformation: this is about political power and absolute control of what people are allowed to think.

As we saw with the Hunter Biden laptop story that social media were able to censor prior to the 2020 election, hiding the “truth” or someone else’s version of it that differs from what the powerful want you to believe can be very effective in influencing the outcome of an election.
America is at a moment of unique peril. Never has its legacy of liberty been more at risk than at this “chilling” moment of impending restraint of free speech which could readily morph into a Hunger Games dystopia that I started labeling the Huxwellian World of modernity decades ago.
All people of good will and common sense must rally now to block the implementation of this Ministry of Truth proposal emanating from the Biden Administration or risk complicity in ending our Republic:
