New York’s iconic Fifth Avenue Tiffany & Co building – made famous in the Audrey Hepburn film Breakfast at Tiffany’s – is ravaged by electrical fire two months after $500m refurbishment

  • Smoke is billowing out of 727 Fifth Avenue – the Tiffany & Co. Landmark building
  • The store reopened in April after a refurb that cost a reported $500million 
  • Two people were taken to the hospital but their conditions are not known
