Letter to the SOTN Editor

Thoughts on the proposal of
Marianne Williamson to help
women in other countries etc.
(In response to the following
SOTN post: Marianne Williamson,
a 2020 Democrat Presidential Candidate,
Says We Must Stay in Afghanistan
to Advance Feminism)

While in the USA there are
219,000 incarcerated women
as of Nov. 2018, according to
a Prison Policy report.
That means there are 133 women
in jail for every 100,000 citizens.

According to Global Trends,
20 percent of US children live
in poverty in 2015.  43 percent
of these children live in single-
mother households.

The above data would tell us to
reallocate our military funding
and support mothers in the USA
who are in jail for minor offenses
related to property or drugs.

And to better support women
in general in order to keep
the family together and promote
their well-being; the well-being
of our future citizens!
