SUPERSTORM MILTON ALERT! A Special Message To My Fellow Floridians

GOD IS GREAT!!!
Hurricane Helene Prayers Answered

I live in North Florida, between Tallahassee and Perry.

The eyewall of Hurricane Helene hit Florida’s Big Bend region dead on, just southwest of Perry as a Cat 4 with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph.

Two days before this superstorm hit the state, I went into an internal rage against you know who.

It was like, “WTH!!!” — why do we Floridians have to suffer like this every single hurricane season of our entire lives, from June 1st thru November 31st (that’s 6 long months, mind you), not knowing if we will be targeted with a veritable “weather bomb”.

Granted, these “weather bombs” explode with wind and water, but just take a look at the videos of the aftermath of Helene to grasp just how destructive they can be.

So now it’s the day before Helene’s D-Day, which was Thursday, Sept, 26, and something very big begins to happen inside … very deep inside.

But only after much fervent prayer does this radical shift in my head space start to take place.

Only after much prayerful contemplation do I begin to enter
a whole new and unprecedented state of profound
peace that surpasses all understanding.

The next order of events that my wife and I are now living through on D-Day gets even more amazing and miraculous.

How so?

Because the later in the evening it gets toward Helene’s landfall, which is a mere 60 miles from our home, and the closer the hurricane gets to our home, the more tranquil I become. WHAT?!?!?!

As a matter of fact, the hour from 11:00 PM through 12 midnight, as the superstorm moved through Florida, I experienced an altered state of unparalleled serenity and well-being.

Really, how crazy is that?

The “Hurricane of the Year” is barreling down toward and through the Big Bend and I’m feeling happier by the hour on the superstorm’s D-Day.

But again, at the risk of repeating myself, those ardent prayers and sincere supplications have actually been an ongoing practice for years. Because that’s what living in Florida will do to a person. It makes you pray like there’s no tomorrow … … … because if you don’t, there may not be a tomorrow.

The key takeaway:

That the best response to these weaponized hurricanes is heartfelt prayer, yes?

Epilogue

By the way, although we were eventually less than 40 miles from that fast-moving ground zero, Cat 4 Hurricane Helene passed right on by as though it was just a regular North Florida thunderstorm. And, even our entire cleanup was completed in a half hour.

The screenshot posted below captures the satellite imagery of what I saw as Helene was at its closest point to our property. Notice that swath of green on the left inside of the storm system; that’s where we are located, in that green area between the intense bands of red orange and yellow.

Now hers’s the awesome MIRACLE that took place: As Helene moved northward through Florida and up into Georgia, that very same green swath of very low hurricane activity stayed in place around our entire neighborhood.

GOD IS GREAT ! ! !
