Cuomo joked he would ‘mount’ former aide Lindsey Boylan if he were a dog: report

The first woman to publicly accuse Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment claimed he once boorishly joked that he would “mount” her if he were a dog, a new report said.
Lindsey Boylan, a former aide to the governor, revealed Cuomo’s creepy remark in a lengthy interview with the New Yorker‘s Ronan Farrow, telling him that Cuomo made the gross joke in 2018 after a meeting at the governor’s mansion.
Boylan, 36, who is one of seven women to lodge accusations of sexual misconduct against the governor, said he made the comment after Cuomo’s dog — a German shepherd mix named Captain — jumped up and down near her.
She said she tried to calm the dog, then backed off.
Then, Boylan said, Cuomo joked he would try to “mount” her as well if he were a dog.
“I remember being grossed out but also, like, what a dumb third-grade thing to say,” Boylan told the magazine.
“I just shrugged it off,” she said.
A spokesperson for the governor did not immediately return a request for comment.
Boylan first accused Cuomo of sexual harassment in a series of December tweets, and then detailed the governor’s alleged behavior in a detailed post on the website Medium.
She alleged Cuomo kissed her “on the lips” without warning inside his Manhattan office in 2018 — and also claimed the governor asked her to play strip poker a year earlier while on a private plane.
In the New Yorker interview, Boylan said her former boss in the administration, Howard Zemsky, once told her that Cuomo had a “crush” on her.Cuomo has denied the accusations and said he never touched anyone inappropriately.
She also recalled an extremely toxic workplace under the governor, where aides were reduced to tears and his political opponents were the target of childish games.
She recalled an occasion when Cuomo allegedly made fun of a female aide’s haircut, leaving her in tears.
The governor also once made fun of a former male staffer’s weight, Boylan said.
“It was toxic, and particularly for women,” she said in the interview of her time at the governor’s office.
Boylan also said Cuomo, a longtime political enemy of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, had a dartboard bearing the mayor’s face on the grounds of the governor’s mansion.
“I couldn’t believe how brazen that was,” she told the magazine.
