What a huge and long overdue baby step in the right direction to constrain America’s propensity to play global policeman by launching undeclared, unconstitutional wars.
The country is in dire need of the long awaited peace dividend most expected after the collapse of the Soviet Union 30 years ago. But our national leaders remain focused on the unipolar moment that has long passed with China now a rival superpower and Russia resuming its status as a major force to be reckoned with.
Instead of showing some restraint after such a long period of failed foreign adventures, both parties continue to endorse an aggressive agenda of expanding NATO’s influence and transforming it into a global military force that now sees it reaching

One can only wonder what it will take for those inhabiting the DC Swamp to absorb the clear message from the hinterland that wars are wasteful, stupid and highly unpopular with the vast majority of decent citizens.
It is to be hoped that this resolution will serve as a model for other states to replicate to form a loud chorus of dissent that can at last be heard by the thick skulled, corrupt warmongers in Congress and the White House.
Those politicians remain resistant to bringing the troops home from Afghanistan 20 years after the war started. It seems most are drooling at the chance to fight Russia in Ukraine as well as China over Taiwan.

Surely we can do better than that! Hopefully the vote in Montana will show these slow learners the way forward to finally end our endless wars! Perhaps one day, a new populist party promoting peace will emerge out of the ashes of the failed two wings
