Is Biden Using Ukraine as Cover To Force Turkey Out of NATO?

When I first read this article 2 weeks ago, it did not seem plausible to me that the author was right that the crisis in Ukraine was primarily designed to oust Turkey from NATO. https://www.yenisafak.com/en/columns/ibrahimkaragul/the-war-in-the-black-sea-must-be-prevented-the-northern-siege-must-be-stopped-turkey-will-be-forced-to-make-a-deadly-choice-we-cannot-be-the-wests-eastern-front-2047833

But I made a mental note and kept doing my research as tensions increased in the region.

Now comes Biden making a seemingly gratuitous decision to recognize the Armenian genocide of 1915. That implicates Turkey in a manner that appears intended to upset President Erdogan and needlessly cause friction with our ostensible ally. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/biden-recognizes-armenian-deaths-genocide-prompting-relief-armenia-fury-turkey-n1265040

Perhaps there is a hidden purpose as the author had contended. His expertise on the matter is far greater than mine and now resonates with this new reality as he predicted: “Preparations have nothing to do with Russia. All fronts are being built against Turkey. The West wants to exact revenge on us!”

Deciphering the actual reason for this move remains obscure but one now has to consider whether all this tongue-lashing of Russia in support of a quasi-facist government in Kiev that ostensibly raised the risk of a major conflagration with Moscow was directed at pushing Turkey out of NATO and gaining control of the Black Sea.

Ankara has already been removed from participating in the F-35 program which may be a big clue that the Armenia decision is part of a long-range plan rather than an impulsive gesture by the West.

Why that is so important will eventually become clear if it does unfold that Ankara feels unwelcome and pulls out of NATO. But the fury within Turkey was totally predictable and calls out for an explanation regarding Biden’s timing and purpose.

I doubt that will occur but so much is rapidly unfolding in the region with Israel, Iran, Syria, Jordan all undergoing turmoil and the issue of troop withdrawal from both Iraq and Afghanistan still unresolved.

There is more to this story than public accounts imply so I will be watching developments and doing my best to read between the lines to infer what is happening behind the scenes. Stay tuned!
