Distracted nurse gives woman 6 doses of COVID vaccine in one shot

In Italy a 23-year-old woman was mistakenly given six doses of the Pfizer corona-virus vaccine all at once on Sunday and had to be admitted to the Noa Hospital in Massa, in Tuscany immediately for 24 hours observation, and was released on Monday (May 10) reported to have not suffered any apparent adverse reactions from the vaccine overdose, said local health authorities.

“This person at this time will certainly not have side effects,” said Dr. Antonella Vicenti, director of infectious diseases at Noa Hospital. She also noted that Pfizer studies showed that people who receive up to 5-times the normal vaccine dosage did not suffer any consequences as a result of the overdose. And also said that patients in Israel and Germany who were accidentally been given 5-times the dosage also had no adverse reactions.

“The patient did not have fever and did not have any pain except for pain at the inoculation site, nor any other manifestations,” said the director. And also noted that the patient: “She was a bit frightened, thus we preferred to keep her here until this morning.”

During her 24 hours in the hospital the young woman blood was regularly tested to monitor her immune response and to determine whether she should still be scheduled for the second dose after some weeks. The long-term effects, if any, from the Pfizer vaccine overdose remains uncertain.
