Sounds like a lot of people until you realize that 27,000 people die each day in India–with or without covid: See below!

The death rate in 2016 was 7.35 people per 1000–which equates to a total of 9,773,374 people dying each year. Divide that number by 365 and you get approximately 27,000 people dying each day [In the US the daily death rate is 8,000. With a population 4 times greater than the US–India’s death rate would be slightly lower than the US death rate (4 X 8,000=32,000) per day]. In any event–India’s total death toll of 278,719 humans represents about ten days of India’s habitual death toll–or approximately .3% of the total annual death toll–which is statistically inconsequential.
So, the whole India presentation is a total ruse–but because most American’s are apparently challenged with this 5th grade math analysis–the bullshit spreads like wild fire. We Americans–Land of the Free–Home of the Brave–need to put our big boy/girl pants on and deal with the business of responsible citizenry–and call a spade a spade–or kiss our asses goodbye.
