Is this yet another reason why the largest US gas pipeline was stealthily shut down?

This morning, I drove to our local Shell gas station to see how they were faring and fill up, if possible. No lines, plenty of gas. In fact, a Shell gas delivery truck pulled up to fill the tanks.

I asked our pump jockey (who likes to be called a ‘petroleum transfer engineer’) what had happened to the pipelines and whether to expect shortages.

He said the lines were “hacked,” and that means that mom-n-pop indie gas stations, who order gas deliveries on an as-needed basis, will suffer the most because they don’t have accounts set up the way that the corporations/ franchises do. And that they will ‘probably go under.’ Franchise gas stations, such as our Shell venue, already have standing accounts locked in and so, according to Eddie, will not be affected.

Is this another corporate consolidation ploy by Big Brother ?
